Chapter 22

Wednesday morning….

It was another day to go to school and aunty Mira was there to take him to school since his mother would be busy attending to his father. After getting to school, Jason and aunty Mira went on their way and along the way, aunty Mira would get compliments from passersby and it got to the point that Jason couldn't take it anymore and had to speak up.

"Aunty Mira, why don't you go home from here, my school is not that far".

Hearing her nephew telling her to go home makes her feel touched and considers him to be kind-hearted.

"You silly child, since I said I'm going to take you to school then that is what I will do, and stop worrying about me" said Aunty Mira with a smile on her face as she gave Jason a little touch on his head.

"I'm not worried about you aunty, what I'm worried about is the fact that you will be drawing more attention to us" reply Jason as he said in a low voice. 

Aunty Mira couldn't help but let out a laugh when she heard the reason behind his words.

"Are you ashamed to have an aunty like me Jason?" asked Aunty Mira as she turned to give Jason a look. 

"Of course not, why would I be ashamed to have you as an aunty? Is just that I don't want to be the talk of the school" replied Jason as he begins to explain himself. 

"Well, it is not bad for you to be the talk of the school. Besides, be proud to showcase to the whole school that you have a beautiful aunty" said aunty Mira with a smile. 

Jason couldn't help but let out a sigh when aunty Mira told him to brag. 

"I guess today is going to be one of those annoying days in school" Jason mutters as he continues to walk and aunty Mira who was walking beside him, heard his mutter and chuckled. 

While they were walking a sports call drove by and those insides couldn't help but pack to the side and begin to whistle aunty Mira while others invited her to come over and that they will take her to where she was heading but it was quite unfortunate for them that aunty Mira was not interested and decided to ignore them as they continue with their walk.

"It seems like it's a punishment for one to be as beautiful as you are," said Jason as he turned around to peek at the sports car.

"Come on, silly boy, you are already running late. If you continue to walk at this pace, who knows maybe school will be over before you get there" joke aunty as she urges Jason to pick up the pace.

Jason decided to take his gaze off the car and pick up the pace. After walking for a while, they were finally able to arrive at the entrance of the school and it was at that time that Max's father also dropped him off and was just about to leave when he was aunty Mira walking out after saying a few words to Jason. 

"Good morning Mira" Mr. Kovacs greeted her in a way to draw her attention since she hasn't seen him.

She returned the greeting with a smile on her face as she approached the car and along the way she met up with Max who was yelling for Jason to wait for him while running. He greeted her without stopping to hear a word from her as he went past her toward Jason. 

"I can see that you are about to head to work"? Asked Aunty Mira.

"You got that right, what about you Mira, where are you heading to?" replied Mr. Kovacs.

"I'm heading to the hospital to pay my brother a visit" she said with a smile.

"Alright then, why don't you come in and let me drop you off since it is not close to my workplace" offer Mr. Kovacs.

"Thank you for the generosity Mr. Kovacs" replied Aunty Mira as she got into the car and drove off.

Meanwhile, Max couldn't help but speak up when seeing the way the other students were looking at Jason with envy in their eyes. 

"I see that your aunty beauty has stunned both the teachers and students who managed to catch a glimpse of her" he said with a chuckle.

"Sigh, just as I thought another annoying day had begun. I just can't wait for the day to end" reply Jason weakly as he lowers his head. 

"Looks like someone wants to keep a low profile" comments Max with a chuckle as he places his hand on Jason's shoulder before entering their hall.

"That aside, how do you plan on dealing with Alex since you have added yourself to his hit list"? Asked Jason as he gave Max a look. 

"I'm going to deal with him like I normally do. If you come for trouble, then I will give him one" replied Max with a frown. 

"Instead of picking a fight with him, why don't you just report the whole matter to Mr. Edward"? Jason suggested that it would be troublesome if his friend were to have a fight with Alex.

"This doesn't have anything to do with the school. And by the way, do you think they would be able to do anything to him since his father is the one backing the school" replied Max before asking his question.

"That I don't know but I think we should give it a try" said Jason. 

"Well, let's just watch how things play out" replied Max with a smile as he took his seat before turning to greet Larry and the others.

Seeing that his friend doesn't want to report the issue they are having with Alex and his gang to the school official, Jason could only stay silent and take his seat as he waited patiently for the teacher to come in.
