Chapter 99: LYON

Caitlin was sick again in the night. No sooner had we put our heads down on the pillow than we heard her fussing in her crib.

"Bring her in here baby, she'll sleep better with us." Either she was too tired to argue or she agreed with me because she didn't make a peep as she headed for the nursery.

I could hear her cooing to our girl over the monitor before they both came back into our room. As soon as my baby saw me, she started calling for her dada, only it sounded more like a croaking frog than my little princess.

I took her from her mom and laid her on my chest petting her back, which was hot through her clothes. She shuffled around until she got comfortable and settled down.

Needless to say, I slept on and off all night, too afraid of rolling over on my baby to really sleep. Kat on the other hand, was ass out and all but snoring. She didn't even wake up for Caitie's rare middle of the night feeding.
