Lykanthropos

[WARNING!- MATURE CONTENT] She gasped with eyes wide open and so did he. "It's you." They both said at the same time. She didn't know how to react so she just stared at him. "You're the one who called me a pervert." he said. She was now scared than shocked. "I'm so sorry Prince...Your highness," she lowered her gaze. "You were being a pervert but I shouldn't have said anything. Please don't have me executed." she begged. He stared at her for a while and began to laugh. "Execute you? Why would I do that?" She looked up at him. "I don't know maybe cos I was disrespectful." "I couldn't do that. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't." He said. "So you're not gonna chop my head off?" "No." The elevator opened and they both got off. "What room are you in?" "Um..., I don't wanna say." she said. He nodded slowly. "Ok. I get that. Good night then." He was leaving but then he came back. "What's your name?" asked he. "K-kristen." she answered. "Last name?" he added. She lifted her brows. "Kael." "Hmm. Kristen Kael. It's lovely." She didn't know why but it sounded so nice when he said her name. "What's yours?" she asked him. "Prince Achilles Onasis." he said in a proud voice. She was taken aback. His name sounded really royal. She nodded her head. Instantly, he leaned closer and whispered in her ear, "Made you wet didn't it?" he then smirked and walked away. Kristen found herself shocked and nervous at the same time.

"How could you say that to me?" She finally spoke. "How could YOU say that to me?" He asked her instead of answering her question.

"I just told you that you can't be associated with him." "I thought you said I'm drawn to my alpha," She countered. "Yes,"

"And so why are you saying I can't be associated with him as if I have a choice? Do you want me to be a threat every full moon and a fucking waning Gibbous?" "I didn't say that," he said.

"You didn't say it but that's what you meant. You're the god of fire, Achilles. Why do you act so weak?" she asked.

"Don't you dare call me weak!" he snapped at her. "I'm only trying to protect you so if you want to wonder about the forest in the middle of the night, out of control just to find your so-called alpha then be my guest."

He harshly grabbed her hand and unchained her. The chains fell to the floor with a loud clank. She was taken aback for a moment. He turned his back and was about to leave however she grabbed his hand.

"Are you seriously mad at me?" She asked. "I'm not mad. You're a grown woman and you can do whatever you want." he bluntly replied.

"I thought you were different. I thought you were the perfect man in the world but you're just like your brother. Selfish, self-centered, egotistic... The list goes on. I never thought I'd say this so soon but I love you. I know this may sound absurd cos we've only known each other for a while. I love you, Achilles and it hurts me to say this but I also hate you. I hate you so much for making me think that I could love in the same bloodline. For making me think that you were going to change my life after your brother ruined it even so, I was wrong. Your enemy did this to me so I guess that makes me your enemy too."

He kept staring at her as her eyes pooled with tears. He wanted to set things straight but he didn't love her yet. Sure he had some type of feelings for her but he wouldn't call it feelings of love.

His enormous ego was also a factor. He wasn't going to make himself look desperate.

"I guess so," he said.

She was shocked at what she heard. Did he just agree that she was an enemy? Did he just say 'I guess so?' She couldn't believe her ears.

She watched him as his back retreated and finally disappeared. She didn't think he would do that.

She wasn't going to be petty and shameless so she also left.

Back upstairs, Achilles was being interrogated by Zale.

"Why are you back up here? Shouldn't you be with her to make sure she's ok?" Zale asked at the first sight of him. "She was being psychotic saying she wants to go find her alpha, saying she loves me, and all that bullshit in between," Achilles responded.

"Bullshit? I thought you loved her too?"

"I mean I do like her but I'm not sure about love ok." "Alright, what did you say to her?" Zale crossed his hands over his chest.

"I told her to go find her alpha if she wanted to,"

"Are you insane? Why would you say that to her?" Zale freaked out. "Calm down buddy, she's not going anyway. I don't think she'll go."

"Spoken like a true egotistical maniac. Go check on her please," Zale said.

"I am not going to do that. She has to know that I'm not always at her service." Zale rolled his eyes at Achilles and walked past him to go check on her. He made his way down to make sure that she was there.

He came back with a normal-looking expression. "Is she there?" Achilles asked. Zale looked at him with siren eyes for a while. "No, she is not."

Achilles immediately stopped what he was doing. "She's gone? Are you serious?" he asked. "Yes, you idiot! What'd you think she'd do after you told her all that nonsense about going?"

"It's in the middle of the night, I didn't think she'd be stupid enough to go."

"So what do we do now? Do we go after her?" Zale asked. Achilles took a pause.

"Guards? Guards!" He yelled. Zale watched him in astonishment. Was he going to ask the guards to go look for her?

About three Palace guards entered the room.

"Yes, your Majesty," One of them spoke. "I need you to organize a search party for..."

"His Majesty's companion," Zale spoke in his place. Achilles threw him a death stare but Zale didn't care whatsoever. The guard in front smiled a little cos he knew who Zale was talking about. He was the guard who escorted Achilles to go see Kristen at the lake.

"The girl who came-" Achilles went on to describe her but the guard interrupted. "I know who you're referring to you're Highness," he said.

"W-well good. She's gone missing and I need you to search the surrounding areas to see if you can find her."

"Yes your Majesty, right away." The guards bowed and then left immediately.

"Nice going Genuis, sly move," Zale said with sarcasm. "Do not patronize me, Zale. That's the last thing I need right now." Achilles responded.

"So you're just going to sit and wait till they come back?" "What else am I supposed to do? Huh? It's not like I chased her out. She went cos she wanted to."

At this point, Achilles was infuriated. He had a deep furrow on his brows.

"Where's Myles?" he asked Zale. "I haven't seen him."

"That little bastard has run off."

Zale stood up and walked closer to him.

"Why? What'd he do now?" "He probably put those ideas in her head. You know he doesn't like her and probably wants to get rid of her."

"No, no, no, don't jump to conclusions. We know what happened last time when that happened. Just calm down and we'll find him."
