Chapter 13 System Ceremony [Part 2]

"I doubt you know me," I said and faced away.

"I'm serious, what is your name?" She asked.

"Oh, I think they are starting," I said and the princess quickly looked forward, and I switched seats and moved further away from her.

"I don't think they...you lied to me" she spoke as she stood up and also switched seats to sit down next to me.

"Why are you disturbing my peace, with all these people here it's going to take a while so I'm planning on resting and my name isn't your concern," I said hoping she would leave me alone.

In this world where males are not enough, when a member of the royal family gets their eyes on someone, they can't escape and I'm not going to be a toy of any princess.

"Okay, can I ask you one more question?" She asked.

"Okay"

"You are not in the magic academy, are you planning to join after getting your system or do you have no interest in joining the army?" 

"How do you know I'm not in the magic academy?" I asked her.

"Because I'm in the magic academy and I haven't seen you, and since we are here meaning we are of the same age so you ought to be in my class, but we have no males in our class" the princess spoke. 

"Wait...you are in the academy, why are you in the academy, aren't you a princess?"

"Yes, but I have many reasons to go there, I don't think I'll be fit to rule a kingdom or help my husband rule the kingdom so I'll join the army, I'm pretty powerful so my parents couldn't stop me," she said with a smile.

"How powerful are you?" I asked.

"Stage 8"

"What!! Stage 8..." I couldn't help but be surprised, she even surpassed my dad when it came to casting spells.

"I have royal blood so it's pretty normal, both of my siblings are at stage 7, and my mum is at stage 8," she said. 

"Wow, so royal blood is special...wait you said your mum is at stage 8, that means she's the one with royal blood right?" 

"Yes, for four generations the royal family has not given birth to a male child, and I'm sure my mum isn't going to give birth again," the princess said.

'A stage 8 mage at my age, I wonder how powerful she would be if she trained for a few more years, I'm sure they are many other amazing people in the mage academy, I wonder why I was reincarnated in this world without any magic prowess, that's kinda mean'

"You still haven't answered my question, are you planning to join the academy?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm already good at using swords so I'll join once I receive my system" I replied.

"Really...at least we'll have a male in the class, the second year students have five males in their class, and almost every time the girls in my class get in trouble for following their males around, they usually get beaten" 

"I don't understand, so you want me to join so the girls would follow me around?"

"You look really handsome, I'm sure the girls would love you, you might not even have time for yourself" the princess smiled.

"How many girls are there?"

"More than a hundred, I'm sure there'll be more now that more students would join, many a male might even join"

"I didn't think princesses would be so open to talking, you know I'm a commoner right, my mum saved to buy me these clothes so I won't look like a commoner," I lied.

"I don't really care, but the clothes looked really good on you, if you pass the test and enter the academy, I promise to take care of you," she said.

"Really, okay I'm sure... that's my name, see you later" 

Before I could speak I heard my name, I quickly stood up as it was my turn, lots of names had been called and once you are called upon, you need to proceed to the next room, many others were called alongside me, since I was at the back I quicken my steps.

I finally reached the large ornamented door in the front and I and many others walked in.

"Woah" I muttered as I looked around.

The room was easily the most beautiful room I had ever seen, the walls were made of pure black and shining stones with vines going around it like the root of a tree inside the earth.

I looked around and noticed I was the only one in the room, I'm pretty sure I walked in with a few people but they were gone.

I walked a little forward towards the center of the room where a large obelisk made from shining black stones was placed, to receive my system I'd place my hands on the obelisk and a small doorway would open then I'd walk in and after a few seconds with a little pain, my system would be infused into my body.

I placed my hands on the obelisk and as I was told, a small doorway opened and I walked in, the doorway closed behind me I couldn't see a thing, darkness covered the entire place.

I wasn't told about this but since I'm here I sat down and closed my eyes, slowly I could feel a slight burning sensation in my chest, and over time it began to intensify.

I couldn't help but place my hands on my chest as I groaned in pain, slowly the pain began to subside.

I sighed weakly as the pain stopped, I stood up from the ground and in front of me, a blue screen appeared just like in video games.

[System Infused]

[Sword Summoning System...]

[Loading Stats...]

"Yes, I got a combat related system, this would make joining the academy easier, hehe" I smiled but something strange happened.

The words in front of me glitched and cracked, I've never heard of something like this.

"What is wrong with this, is something... Woah!!!" I shouted as I felt myself falling, the ground I was standing on was gone, I braced myself for the fall but suddenly I was standing on the ground again but this time the location was different.

"Did you miss me" a familiar voice spoke from behind.
