My library was a place I rarely frequented. It was filled with books from centuries ago to now and a room where most of us just knew existed. None of us really spent much time in here. If anyone spent the most, it was probably Alessandro researching various topics. He was huge into history and learning new shit, while the rest of us were interested in other things like gun practice and etiquette.
Of course, he had etiquette down pat, he didn’t need to work on a skill he was profound in. Not like we did.
But, I enjoyed the solitude and silence of the library. The scent of old books and candles. The warmth radiating from the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves someone only dreamt about seeing in fairytales or if they traveled to an old library downtown.
