“So, what’s our plan?” With my hands on a long banquette table in a private meeting room within their warehouse, I looked between all three of the men. They all looked perplexed, and I smacked my hands against the table before straightening up. “C’mon now, one of you has to have some plan of infiltrating the damn warehouse.”
Nyx flipped his butterfly knife around his hand and shrugged. “I’m not really one to plan things. I work on impulse.”
“All right, what about you two?” I looked between Leo and Alessandro, who are sat quietly, avoiding eye contact with me.
“I’m not usually in the line of fire,” Alessandro admitted, raising his hands.
What? What did he mean he wasn’t usually in the line of fire? What the hell does he do then?
“He works behind the scenes on jobs. He doesn’t like to get his hands dirty like we do.” Leo slammed a boot down onto a chair to strap a gun holster around the middle of his right thigh.
