Chapter one, Blue Alfaa backstory.

Unlike most humans in her world, who are grown naturally, or people from the world she would go to, who are basically magically conjured, Lunar was grown in a vat.

She was part of a genetic experiment by the company called Futuregenes. Her parents decided to make a catgirl with a moving tail and ears. They also wanted her to be as perfect as possible, so they give her "max intelligence". Little did they expect the outcome.

This world is home to many dangerous things. Fire, for example, could burn down entire buildings, yet they are used in cooking meals. Similarly, Lunar's life would be in danger as if she were playing with fire all the time. Lunar's life is full of fear, she fears her human fragility among other things. If she were stronger, she wouldn't easily burn to death. If she were stronger, she wouldn't die if she falls from the corridor. But as of now, she knows her life is very weak, and she wonders why aren't these dangers encapsulated away. In her opinion, everything close to fire should be accomplished by a machine. Cars are too dangerous to exist in such a large number, and everything that could come into contact should have shielding. In fact, she wants everyone to wear power armor. This is for safety reasons. But above all, she knows one thing. Humans are not reliable. Mistakes that can happen will happen. She would rather have a machine that will always perform the correct decision, that would be something she could trust. Ironically, trains and elevators, things people feel unsafe are very safe for her, provided the people inside are OK.

However, back in the world, the reality is more cruel. Bullies would often pull her tail in school. She deems this very dangerous for her comfort. She is very paranoid. Things that can hurt her will hurt her. She usually maintains a three-meters distance from everyone else. She is afraid.

Another thing that would shape her personality is how nonsensical things are. Chefs would ride a powerful car to work so they would put their puny hands to work. The same goes for construction workers, technicians, plumbers, etc... this disgust her. People are draining away their lives and joy to put in some work just to keep the world functioning. This civilization does not make sense to her. If only she could get reborn.

Still, for her, there is something more important than her safety, the chance that one day she will safely be comfortable. Safety means being unaffected by damage that might happen. The real danger is damage that already happened. This is her daily life. She is afraid somebody will harass her, that she will be institutionalized as a feral catgirl, and so on. Besides, she is afraid her potential would not be realized.

She is willing to take risks when necessary, but she just doesn't understand the current world. Why is it set up this way? It's so unsafe for no purpose other than to keep the civilization going, for what? Why not make civilization safer and more comfortable?

She would wonder as she picks up a computer science book from the university library. She is 16. She knows full well that being here, she would be useless, so she has a plan, to escape to another dimension. This will be the riskiest part of her plan. For that, she needs to be prepared.

Another dimension is full of danger, the physics system would not even work in the same way. She would be alone. But at least, she does what she can to prepare, she reads math and computer science. She plays with virtual circuit boards and many different games, building computers in many of them. This ensures that when the time comes, she would be able to build her own computer.

She would look at the collection of her books, she has escaped from her home to live in the university library after being abused. She has no family now. And soon, she must go. Fortunately, the librarian is supportive of her. She often goes to sleep in secret during the day and read during the night. And for the last time, she will review her material. She has triple-reviewed the materials, built computers, and more, and she will do it again, here, for the last time, to ensure she can do it when she goes to the new world.

I hope this gets an adaptation one day.
