Ophelia's POV
Ophelia had been mortified when her parents showed up unannounced. When her parents had revealed the true nature of their visit and introduced her to Mark, she had almost died of embarrassment.
She tried to reason with herself. They knew nothing of her dalliances with Sam. They were proud of her for getting accepted into the program. Her father had met Mark through his job, and he wanted to find a worthy husband for his only daughter.
Ophelia had tried to politely explain that she had everything under control, but then Mark had announced that he had business to attend to in town and would be staying for the week.
When she had felt Sam arrive at the coffee shop, she was positive she was going to melt into the dirt beneath her. This man, this love of her life, witnessing her be set up by her own parents with some halfwit Alpha from the next town over from her hometown? It was too much to bear.
