Chapter 48: Wedding Bells

Shayla called work and apologized for running off and then took the rest of the day off, stating that she wasn't feeling well. That was sort of true. The whole situation in the break room made her stomach turn, so in truth, she wasn't well.
She left the cemetery and drove home. She walked right past the questions of 'why she was home' and 'if she was okay and went right to her room and shut the door.
She threw herself on the bed and rubbed her temples continuously trying to ward off the upcoming headache she felt behind her eyes.
The sun was blinding her through her drapes, so she got up to close them tighter when the doorbell rang. She ignored it knowing one of them would answer it.
Ring.
There it went again. No one was getting up to answer it. Really?
"Must I do everything around here?"
