Chapter 30

Back at the castle, Raphael had been patiently waiting. He thought that his mates to her ancestral home will not take long but here he was,after hours and still there was no sign nor scent of his Sophia.

He was about to go and look for her at the kingdom of Windsor. What if she went back and forgot all about him and decided to stay there.

He knew that his thoughts were ridiculous,but whenever it came to his Sophia,he always looses his rationality and composure, thinking like a child.

His emotions at this time were going rampage and one more minute waiting,he might go beserk if he doesn't see her.

He was preparing to teleport to the kingdom of Windsor when his strong senses were assaulted by the sweet smell of jasmine. He did not need anyone to tell him that,that was the smell of his darling mate.

Without wasting a second,he darted across the room in a terrifying speed to go and meet his mate. since waiting was no option for him,he decided that he'll meet her halfway. The sooner he has her in his arms,the sooner his emotional turmoil will be healed.

He couldn't fathom just how within a short period of time,he had lost his strong self control and was now living at the Mercy of his mate.

If someone had told Lucifer that he, the god of hell will be dependent of a woman,he would have scoffed and ridiculed that person mercilessly, but now here he was, behaving like a puppet under the control of it's master.

In no time, Raph had already lunged himself in Sophia's warm embrace. He took in her sweet smell greedily. It was like his life depended on this and yes it did. His addiction towards his mate was something even he was scared of. He had tried as much as possible to refrain himself and control his urge to be by her side always but that was all in vain.

At first, he had blindly blamed the prophecy for the drastic changes in his life but later he came to realize that, this attraction had nothing to do with the prophecy. His mate was just as powerful as to trap his heart, something he was rumoured not to have,and make him addicted to her.

It wasn't a one sided attraction,he can attest to that. Just as much as he was enomoured by his mate,just as she was. He loved to see the affection in her eyes and glad that all that Love was meant for him, Only him.

He was a possessive man and never believed in sharing his loved ones with anyone else.

Taking a one last long breath,he buried his face on her neck.

" I missed you my Queen. I have been waiting forever for you." He said,his voice muffled but Sophia still caught the words.

She felt warmth course all through her body and warm her heart. She had also missed him,very much and that is why she came here directly after meeting her father.

"My Love, ain't you acting too clingy like a child." Sophia said giggling happily.

" If the people saw you acting like this, won't they stop respecting you as their King?" Sophia added.

Raphael knew for a fact, that his naughty mate was teasing him.

" Am acting clingy to my mate, how does that concern them. If anyone dares disrespect their King,they know tge consequences. I am not lenient nor am I forgiving." Raphael said darkly.

His voice sounded like a grim reaper's claiming life's with utmost cruelty.

Sophia has always known that her mate was a dangerous being,he was a vengeful and unforgiving but she hoped that with her presence,she could somehow make him less evil.

" Is my lovely mate trying to scare his queen away with such talks?" She unceremoniously asked him rendering him panic stricken.

He had not been able to control his darkness and maybe scared her,he hoped she wouldn't start avoiding him because that was the last thing he wanted to happen.

" Am sorry for scaring you, I didn't mean to." He murmured apologetically, his voice full of remorse.

" Who said I am scared. I knew from the start what I was getting myself into and still chose to complete our mating. Doesn't that tell you something Raphael?" She asked,her voice serious so was her face.

" Despite everything you have done or will do,I will always choose you. Given a chance to choose yet again,I will still choose to be by your side. It is something nobody forced me to do,I did it because I wanted to give myself a chance, give you a chance for happiness. I did it because I wanted to own you,I wanted to be yours forever. I did it because I love you. My love for you exceeds any fear or intimidation. I am your light,I want to be your light so that I can dispel any darkness in you. Give me the chance Raph,give me a chance to love you the way I know best,give me a chance to care for you and protect you. Give me a chance to lighten up your world until only light is seen in you,will you my love?" Sophia said and without waiting for an answer, blocked his mouth with hers.

The kiss wasn't hurried, it was slow but sensual. It wasn't steamy rather it was passionate,and promising.

Sophia was pouring all her emotions into that one kiss. She needed to reassure her mate of her unchanging and unconditional love to him. She wanted Raphael to feel it himself that she had surrendered herself to him. That she was his,his to possess. She didn't care about his dark past,she understood that the past builds a person. She was giving him a promise of the future,a future full of bliss and happiness,a future that he needn't be scared of. She wanted to reassure him that she will always be with him even at the darkest days of their existence.
