Black Angel

The audacity this motherfucker had, to put his filthy hands on his little sister. It was one of those rare moments that he couldn't control his beast. Dante morphed into his black mamba without thinking. He forgot about concealing it from Cheryl, the thought just flew out of his mind, when he saw that Ace bitt her, sealing their bond. Dante was fuming and nothing could clear his head now. And Ace's cobra challenging him head on wasn't making things easier.

"Are you put of your mind, brother?" He spit the last word, making the other ones in the room gasp. "I warned you, but it seems you don't listen or perhaps you just think I'm bluffing." The panic in his eyes, while he shifted back to his human form, looking back at Jimmy made his beast satisfied. And he striked the kid with his tail before Ace had a chance to react. Dante trew him across the room pouncing on the kid. But the look in his eyes stopped his claws mid air, just before digging in his chest to take his heart out. The awe and fear that Jimmy was portraying made him question his actions.

"Danny, please stop!" The pleas of his sister made him stop for good.

"Next time you hurt my sister, I will finish your little brother. And you better hear my warning this time 'cause it ain't gonna be a next time...brother." He stretched his hand and helped a shaking Jimmy to his feet.

Cheryl came next to him, fussing all over the boy, making sure he was ok. She apologized on his behalf to him and Annabelle, and he smiled retreating his black mamba. She always ended up apologizing to people on his behalf, but he couldn't help it. Not when he saw her hurt. And the actions of his stupid brother, made him loose his mind for a moment.

All three of them smelled the air at the same time and shifted back to their vipers.

"They entered the building."

So the kid was a python, maybe they stood a chance after all. Ace was already next to him shielding Cheryl while they waited for the vampires to come to her door.

What neither one of them knew, was that the vampires smelled his little sister more because of her blood. Having demon blood wasn't going to help her in the future. It was calling like a siren to all vampires and elves. Dante was nervous and anxious about the whole ordeal. All he wanted was for Cheryl to be safe and if this motherfucker's bite would help, then he was willing to let this one slide.

"You wanted to be the hero,fuckface. Let's see what you got."

"I'm just doing my job, protecting what's on my territory."

"Sure, keep telling yourself that."

"If we want to get past this, we need to work together. Think you can manage that?"

"Jimmy, shush...you barely made it alive."

Annabelle was right to be scared, he almost killed the kid and some parts of him were feeling sorry about that, but he wanted to prove a point to Ace, he just hoped that he managed to do that.

"How can they see you, Danny?" Cheryl's whispers behind his back brought him back from his thoughts.

"Only when I'm in this demonic form, the living can see me..."

"Well, nothing is demonic about you, Danny. Maybe only your temper. But I think you're a beautiful snake. It's that the right word or I messed it up?"

Both Jimmy and Ace laughed and tried to conceal it with a cough, but now nothing could make his mood sour. His puddin' thought he was beautiful, even his beast was hissing in contempt.

"You two are a odd pair of siblings."

"Why thank you Annabelle. We've surely been called worse. Do you remember Danny, in school when they thought that..."

Cheryl's words got interrupted when her door got slammed to the wall and six vampires strolled inside sniffing the air like dogs after meat. The kis was right, they needed to start working together and fast, as all the vampires zeroed on the women. One smily red eyed vampire in particular, was watching Cheryl like a hawk. He liked his lips and measured her from top to bottom.

"Well guys, I think we just hit the jackpot with this one."
