Chapter Hundred & Ninety_Five: Repercussions

"Who laid his hands on him?" I asked softly and everyone begun to murmure. None of them stepped forward and I could feel my emotions getting the better of me. "Quiet!" Silver yelled and I repeated, "Who placed their hands on him?" I watched each of their faces and within a second Ruth stepped back and so did the guard, leaving the head servant in the middle.
"Why?" I asked simply and I watched him look around like someone would protect him but none of them even tried to. "I asked you a question." I said and he quickly said, "I blamed him for letting the horse go out. He is a stables boy, he is meant to clean and feed the stables. Not ride the horses, that is only for the royals and no one else." He said.
