SERA'S POV

(Flashback)

Still outside, in the car with Maximo, we both sat down in the car. I had the gift in my hands as I stared at Maximo as he made his confession to me.

"Yes Sera. I love you. I only realized this in the morning when Alex and I got into an argument. What he said got me thinking. I asked myself if I had no one in my life anymore. If I still loved Scarlet like before. But I realized that the feelings I had for her back then were gone. When I thought about you...my heart fluttered," Maximo explained emotionally.

I couldn't help but stare at him. My heart was racing at his words. I'm still astonished at his confession. I don't know what to say or do. What should I do?
