Chapter 4

"Someone cleared everything, it's clean"

"Computer?"

"Went to the office his files were deleted without a trace"

"Damn it! Find me who did this"

"Whoever did this also removed the camera footage of them ever being in the school"

Whoever is behind this knows all my moves and who lm looking for. Rose walks past and l couldn't help but follow her. L needed to know where she had gotten the flash maybe she's being used by her brother 

"hey you" 

"hie" she says looking the other way 

"lm ...sorry for the yesterday thing"

"no problem lm used to surprises" 

"where did you get the flash?" she turns and looks at me 

"is that why you apologized" l couldn't say anything cause l felt guilty for sure that was the main reason l apologized. To me it wasn't an apology , it was just a way to make her comfortable. She turned to walk away , l just could not let that happen , l pulled her back and smashed my lips against hers. 

She tried pushing me off but l took hold of her hands and pinned them slightly on top of her head. I broke out of the kiss looking her straight into her hazel eyes. For a moment l got lost until a sharp slap landed on my right cheek. 

"you son of a..."

"don't you dare insult my parents"

"then don't treat me like lm obsessed with you, if you think lm going to tolerate all your nonsense like one of your hoes then you lost me" she turned and walked away disappearing into one of the classes. I took hold of my cheek never in my life have l ever been slapped by anyone especially a girl.

Rose 

I could feel my skin boil in rage, even though at a point I didn't want him to stop. I was longing for more, his touch, his hot breath when he whispers on my neck sent shivers down my spine. 

At least this is my last year in high school, soon all of the drama will be over. L sit by the window looking at the azure sky for a moment l must have forgotten that my red eyed math teacher was still blabbering a lot of stuff at once. He must have noticed that my mind was somewhere else , he walked towards me and threw his heavy textbook on my table and it feel with a thud. 

"sir"

"l said your team mate is Rome"

"why"

"am l supposed to answer that…..work on your essays and bring them Friday"

"am l really that bad now" as he lifts my satchel and sits besides me. L turn and look the opposite direction.

"your house or mine?" l turn to look at him with a resting b*tch face 

"only school related" he said raising his brow a showing off all his dimples

"will see" then l stood up and went straight for door not daring to look back. L was exhausted from the busy day at school, l walked back home and a moving truck was parked outside and behind it parked a black Mercedes Benz. L quickly strode into the house and Aunt Lora was holding a box full of things she stopped when she came were l was. 

Her face showed that she had been crying for a long time, l looked at her and she rolled her eyes and pushed me aside and continued walking out the door. L went to my room and closed the door behind probably she was moving out and since my mother was like a mother to her she might be heartbroken. 

NARRATED 

After what seemed like hours Rose woke up to the sound of someone calling her name. she wore her slip on's and went downstairs only to meet her mom and sister setting the dinner table in a fancy way. 

"what's going on"

"since you caused our tenants to move out mom got a new tenant and we are preparing a welcoming meal"

"me?" rose said looking around the house to see if anyone was in

"yes Aunty heard you yell whatever it was you were saying and"

"she left and you broke a lovely marriage" Rose's mom said placing the salad on the table

"oh wow now it looks l was the one sleeping with someone young enough to be your son"

"enough both of you lm trying to impress someone here,Rose please call him from upstairs dinner is ready" lily said. 

Rose walks upstairs and knocks on the door next to her room , she turns to walk away then the door opens.

"Omg" he stood by the door shirtless and his sweet pants were just under his waist exposing his v-line. He had six packs and a tattoo on the side of his stomach overlapping to his back. Some of his curly hair went on to his face. She couldn't help but notice the two lines that were on his left eyebrow, his big juicy lips which she assumed were soft as wool. He had one piercing on his ear were he wore this black stud with a skull shape like. He looked like a demi-god not up to Rome's extent. That name came to her mind again and her mood was ruined why does he have to appear everywhere. 

"Staring is rude you know" he says leaning towards her 

"lm sorry um dinner is ready"

"you cooked?"

"my mom and sister did"

"is she as pretty as you are" he says biting his lower lip

"more prettier actually ,"

"nice meeting you little sister" then he closed his door. Rose stood there doing some breathing exercises then she went downstairs. Even though she was pissed at him for calling her little sister, this could be her future husband calling her sister. Family zoned just like that not even the friend zone first. 

"And"

"His coming" Rose sits down followed by her mom and sister then he walks downstairs. He looked like he had just finished bathing and he wore a white baggy shirt that had drops from his still wet hair that made him look extra hot. He sat besides Rose and she could smell his scent , everyone on the table could it wasn't too much or too little just the correct amount. 

"girls this is Ethan his our new tenant please treat him nice" ma Rose said with a faint smile

"nice to meet you" the girls said in a whisper but audible enough for everyone to hear. They sit and eat in silence holding a few conversations there and there. It was quite confusing how Ethan and ma Rose had seemed to have a mother and son relationship already. It was normal after all ma Rose had always been lovable. 

After eating Lily went to watch tv whilst Rose cleaned the plates. A figure entered the kitchen and there his scent that was enough to make her lose her mind the same Rome's scent made her go insane. 

"l had my hopes high buh l was disappointed" he said seating on the counter next to were l was as he opens his hands to get the plates l was washing. 

"you don't have to help l can handle the dishes"

"at least allow me to show how grateful l am its been long since l had a proper home cooked meal"

"who do you live with"

"you" 

"l mean your old place" Rose said handing him the last plate

"alone"

"family?"

"died when l was five"

"oh lm sorry you wanna talk about it"

"nope since we are done washing the dishes l could go rest" he said then he walked away leaving Rose on the same position, she cleaned up then on her way to her room she saw her sister sleeping on the couch only if she knew how much l cared about her she thought as she walked towards her then covered her with a fleece before she went to her room and dosed off.
