Misunderstandings.....

Her classes started at around 7 am in the morning, again the most difficulty time of the day for her. She got ready and went ahead and saw Adrick waiting for her as usual near a pole. Yes, today was the day of virtual meeting between the two main characters of Nuri's life. They went to their finance economics and international economics class as per the timings and finally it was the moment of truth.

She video called Amit and as soon as he picked up the call there was a moment of silence between Adrick and Amit. They stared at each other for about 2-3 minutes when finally Nuri broke the silence.

"Hey! Good morning Amit, how are you"... said Nuri

"Yeah, yeah good morning infact best morning at 12:30 am", growled Amit.

They both laughed and Nuri just realised the face of feeling left out.

"So, Hey! Meet my new friend Adrick. I'll feel pleasure if you both continue Introducing yourselves" Smiled Nuri and gave a light gesture to Amit to behave.

"So, Hi, my name is Adrick. You are handsome bro, I just like that cut crease jaw line. I can say I am impressed by your looks"

"You are handsome too bro but i am not used to compliments, so.... Are you straight or? "

Adrick had a hearty laugh and he couldn't stop it till Nuri pinched him.

"Nah bro! I am straight, I am absolutely straight, just as now I am realising how beautiful Indian people actually are" smiled Adrick.

"Oh, so are you, I mean i have heard lot about Mexican people too"

They further communicated about their lives for 30 minutes and then Nuri gestured them to stop as she felt that she was third wheeling between a couple. They said their goodbyes and Nuri promised Amit to call once she reaches her room.

"Stop loitering around like spoiled kids" growled Amit.

And the call was disconnected.They walked for about 1 mile when they reached Adrick's favourite Mexican restaurant... This time Nuri urged to give the treat as she had to repay the price of the coffee. They ordered cheesy nachos with jalapeno dips and as they were talking Adrick was just looking into her eyes, bright eyes but somewhat homesick eyes and he didn't uttered a word and remained silent just staring at those eyes and the movements of those lips. The whole route towards the dorm, he remained silent.

Few days passed, the routine was going on usual when suddenly 3-4 boys approached them. Yes, they were roommates of Adrick, his so called friends because Nuri never saw them hang out with Adrick. Nuri was the one who was with Adrick everytime including classes, breaks and lunch and sometimes when Nuri was with Jia, then only Adrick paid attention to his roommates deeds. Yes, they approached them and just started speaking continuously like the uncontrolled barking dog.

"Is she the one? Your girlfriend Adrick? She's gorgeous" said one of the Guys.

Then the other started, "Adrick, I can say you have a good taste".

Then the third one started questioning Nuri's ethnicity, " What is your good name sweetheart? What is your ethnicity? "

"That's None of your business.. Just shut up and do your own work. You have nothing to do with our personal lives. So, kindly stay away", Said Nuri with a red angry face.

They boys went ahead.

" How could you do this Adrick? Only a few weeks we have been friends and you started rumours of our relationship?Yes, I saw you staring at me continuously from the past few days in fact from the day we met but i was just confused. You just remember that I am a strong girl my parents raised me like this but don't you or your stupid friends ever try to defame me. I am not used to this relationship culture... so you better behave yourself".

"But Nuri, if I was the one spreading false rumours... then they would know everything about you... but they didn't even know your name... They are just rich spoilt brats judging every boy and girl out there... I could do anything to just prove I am right....and about that staring I just I just........"He went quiet.

Nuri went ahead. Deep in the heart she knew Adrick would never do that but she just went because you know anger it just makes the brain forget everything and just take hold of that one strong point against the person and how long did she knew Adrick,there was always a doubt in her mind. She went ahead leaving Adrick alone in that area... Late at night, she just ate an apple and felt asleep. She didn't call Amit... She didn't text him... She didn't text back Adrick inspite of so many messages. She didn't respond to Jia's conversations... Jia knew something was wrong was she didn't feel to ask her... She just stared Nuri as she felt asleep and read all the apology messages Adrick had sent and understood everything but she didn't say anything and went to sleep....
