CHAPTER 23
While they were hugging, they didn't notice maria who was by the door watching them. When Maria got to school, she passed by Kelly's classroom and she noticed her stepsister hugging someone, she had an evil smile on her face while taking pictures of them.
when everyone was at school they kept giving kelly a disgusting look and she was confused. "why are they all looking at me like that?" she thought to herself.
"look at her, I wonder what she saw in that useless boy that made her cheat on joseph. This only proves that she is a loose girl." A girl said.
"I'm sure she has other boys she sleeps with. Maybe she was just after Joseph's money, I'm sure she didn't expect getting caught." Another girl replied.
"yeah, but she got what she deserves. I mean, how dare she cheat on my baby, she's so crazy, it's been two weeks they started dating and she's already involved with other men." Third girl scoffed.
Peter who overheard what they were saying quickly understood the situation, he went through the school forum and saw a picture from this morning, when he asked kelly for a hug and he was shocked.
He quickly walked towards kelly and showed her the picture and she was equally shocked as well, and she ran out the class to find joseph.
She didn't know why she reacted this way, all she could think of was finding joseph and explaining, she didn't know why she felt the urge to explain to him but she was really scared of him misunderstanding and distancing himself from her.
when she thought about joseph avoiding her,it made her shiver. When peter avoided her, she wasn't as scared as she was right now, and she couldn't understand. But she didn't care about that right now, all she could think about was getting to joseph as soon as possible.
when she got to the classroom door, she was about to open it when someone else did. She saw joseph figure towering over her, and she was about to say something when joseph pulled her out of the classroom.
Everyone followed the both of them expecting a good show. Peter was scared, he didn't know what joseph was going to do to kelly, and he knows that if he tries to interfere his family would face the consequences.
When joseph got to the school hall, he stopped and was about to say something when kelly spoke up.
" it's not true, me and peter are just friends. He was angry that I didn't tell him about our relationship so I just spoke to him and he forgave me and then we hugged. I swear, it was just a friendly hugged." she said abruptly.
When joseph came to school that he overheard some people talking about kelly, so he decided to check the school forum, when he saw the photo.
At first, he was angry and jealous , but noticed that she was looking scared and trying to clear everything so he wouldn't misunderstand his anger melted away instantly.
when kelly noticed that his was silence, she became really scared. " Please believe me," she said while tears were threatening to fall out from her eyes.
when joseph noticed her tears, his gaze softened and he used his thumb to wipe her tears. " You don't need to explain yourself, you should know that I wouldn't believe anything news about you unless I hear it from you." he said with a smile.
"so you believe me? you're not angry?" she asked to be sure. "hmm, but we need to give them another story to focus on," he said to her, and that was when she noticed that they were surrounded by students.
"what do you mean by...." she couldn't complete her sentence when joseph shut her up with a kiss. Her eyes widened in surprise when she realized what was going on.
