Baek Su-Jin's rudeness

"No, why? Shouldn't you be the right person with it?" Kang Dae-jung asked.

How could he have Oh Ji-Soo's contact when he did not have a close relationship with her?

"She blocked me." Kim Ji-hun revealed. Placing a hand on his waist. He seemed so overwhelmed by that fact.

Not only did that woman insult him, but she tried to delete him from her life.

Who said she could do that?

Learning of this, Park Dae-Jung couldn't help bursting into laughter.

"Hahaha… She blocked you? Hahaha…"

The annoying laughter from his supposed friend annoyed President Kim greatly that he immediately rebuked him.

"Dae-Jung, I don't have the time for this. I need someone who can contact Oh Ji-Soo ASAP!"

Kim Ji-hun didn't look like he was in the mood to joke around as he had a more pressing matter to attend to, and that was finding a way to reach Oh Ji-Soo.

"I would have helped you call her but even if you did give me her contact. It would be inappropriate for me to do that given that we are not close." Kang Dae-Jung spoke as his laughter immediately died down.

Knowing that he might even end up making things for his friend, he opted to not make any effort directly at all.

'Aish!' Kim Ji-hun inhaled sharply.

He hated the feeling of loss and disappointment so much, and he hated excuses for not getting a task done.

If he could call anyone like that incompetent, he would never allow himself to be forced to swallow his words.

Right when Kim Ji-hun was about to end the call and find another means to reach Oh Ji-Soo, Kang Dae-Jung suddenly got an idea.

"Ji-hun, I know someone who can help us, Baek Su-Jin. She was our classmate from high school and she is also Ji-Soo's close friend."

"Do you know this Baek Su-Jin that well?" Kim Ji-hun inquired, having failed to recognize that name and the owner.

"Yes, but don't ask too many questions." Kang Dae-Jung retorted while refusing to talk more about his relationship with Baek Su-Jin.

Letting out a deep sigh, he continued, "I will send her contact to you. She should be able to be of great help in finding Ji-Soo. I have to get back to work now, bye."

"That Damn woman!" Kim Ji-hun cursed. Putting his phone away, he strode over to his car and got into the back passenger seat.

"Back to the company!"

Right as he gave that command, he got a notification on his phone.

"He has sent the number to me." Realizing the text was from Kang Dae-Jun, he quickly opened it to check Baek Su-Jin's contact.

Without wasting time, he proceeded to dial the number while waiting for her to pick up.

One second. Two seconds, Three seconds. No answer. But right as his patience was running out, the call connected.

"Hello! Who is this?" Baek Su-Jin inquired as soon as she answered the call.

There was a subtle of confusion on her face while using her ten fingers to type on the keyboard before her.

As for her phone, she didn't have any space in her hand to hold it hence, she put it on her neck and held it in place with her shoulder and the side of her head.

"It's Kim Ji-hun." Kim Ji-hun replied in a calm tone while feeling silently grateful that he was able to get to her.

"Kim Ji-hun?!" Baek Su-Jin couldn't believe her ears.

Shocked that she would get a call from him one day, she quickly withdrew her hands from the keyboard and took away the phone on her ear to glance at the lit screen.

She had wanted to confirm if that contact was his, but as she never had his number, she could only see a string of numbers, no name.

Recovering from her shock, Baek Su-Jin fired as her back sank into the backrest of her seat.

"How did you get my number and why did you call?"

At first, Kim Ji-hun thought he was going to have a good conversation with her due to how calm her tone was at first, but hearing her rude tone this time around, he was shocked.

He even wondered if it was Oh Ji-Soo he was speaking with.

'She dared to shout at me?'

Shutting his eyes, he let out a series of deep breaths to calm his nerves down. He still had information he wanted to get from her hence, he can't flare up.

"I heard from Kang Dae-Jung that you are Oh Ji-Soo's best friend. I can't get to her do you know where she might be at this time?"

In a detailed sentence, he answered her questions while trying to compose himself.

'Yes, just get the information out of her and throw her aside.' Kim Ji-hun said to himself.

Hearing how he got her contact and whom he was looking for, Baek Su-Jin got even cockier.

"Why are you looking for Ji-So? And give me one valid reason I should tell you where she is?"

Aware of how her best friend was treated by him, she automatically sorts to get revenge on her behalf.

She would never let him off so easily for hunting her friend now that an opportunity like this has presented itself before her.

She was going to get a little revenge on behalf of Oh Ji-Soo.

Seeing as Baek Su-Jin's rudeness kept increasing, Kim Ji-hun would be a fool to not understand what was happening.

For the first time, he was ever having a conversation with her after so many years and he got this attitude from her, it was obvious that a certain someone had talked behind his back.

Could Oh Ji-Soo make it any more difficult to find her?

Now aware of what was going on, Kim Ji-hun applied wisdom to deal with Baek Su-Jin.

"I have an urgent proposal that J Group wants me to pass down to her immediately, but I can't find her, even at her place."

Convinced that Oh Ji-Soo must have mentioned about the bid with J Group to her, he made sure to use this well-packaged golden opportunity in his favour.
