Chapter 19 strange place

Sandra went and get the envelop from where she was hiding it.

Rush back into her room and lock the door. she didn’t want her little brother to disturb her.

“What is in this envelope?” she opened the envelope, she was so surprised at what she saw.

 Alex has given her a huge sum of money and then an iPhone with a little piece of paper.

 She took out the paper and read what is written on it.

 ‘I love you, please wait for me” was what is written on it.

Sandra took the paper and place it on her chest. “I love you too Alex and I promise to wait for you” she turned the other side of the paper and saw a phone number, it was Alex phone number. and she saw another note that said “Call me when you get home”.

Sandra quickly switched on the phone and dial Alex number but his phone was switched off.

“ I'll call him again let me hurry to the market and help my mum. I will call him when I come back”.

She hides the phone and rushed to the market.

All Sandra could do at the market was space out and smile, she will only come to herself when her mother call her to run an errand for her.

Her mother caught her again just smiling and spacing out.

“What is wrong with you Sandra?. Sandra!...” her mother yells

“Yes mum”

“Are you ok? what is wrong with you?. Why are you spacing out and smiling like that?”

“It’s nothing mum, what do you want me to do for you?”

 “My friend gave me that” she yell pointing out the fish basin.

“Ok mum” she rushed and gave her a bucket.

“Do you want me to cover your head with this?. What is wrong with you? don't just get me angry” she warned Sandra.

“What did I do wrong?” Sandra ask because she didn't understand why her mum was so angry with her.

Few minutes later a customer came to buy fish but Sandra was just staring at the person without seeing the customer.

“Sandra do you want me to kill you in this market?, if you're not ready to do anything go home” her mother shouted at her.

She could hardly concentrate for the day. Alex has becloud her mind and vision.

She got home in the evening and she rush to call him but to her surprise she already received several calls from Alex.

“Oh my goodness, he called already.” She tried calling back but the phone was switched off again.

 “What is wrong with him?, why is his phone not connecting?” she worried.

“Alex is time” his sister call.

“Ok I’m ready” he entered the car with his sister and the driver hit the road.

“Where are we going?”

“Just wait and see. Remember all I told you”

 “Of course I remember all you said, but at lease can you tell me where we are going?”

 “Just keep quiet, watch and learn” she said and look away.

They stop in front of a mansion and they walk in side.

They walk straight to the gate and his sister show the man her card and motion for Alex to do the same. He brought out his own card and show the man and they let them in.

 Everywhere was so quiet as a graveyard. They walk a long distance before they get to another gate. They showed their card again and they were allowed in without speaking to the men neither did the men speaking to them.

Alex was wondering what kind of places is this where people just talk with their eyes, no one discuss with anyone, they only nod and everyone move.
