Unknown Man
Shi Lian cannot sit with ease. She has to visit the police station where her uncle is locked. After the shocking phone call, she needs to see with her own eyes if what her uncle said is true or not. But her mother also needs her. There is no news of her father's performance yet.
"Mother" she cooed, putting her arm around her mother's shoulders. Sha Sha looks at her with her red puffy eyes that have lost the meaning of existence. It pains her to see how the cheerful face of her mother is no longer the same. The color has faded. "I need to go to the police station. There is some urgent matter that has to be taken care of and I am required." It is half lying and half-truth. She is going to the police station anyway.
Her mother sniffs, "Is it about your uncle?" If she told her about the call, it may freak her mother. She is already upset and telling her will make her more upset than she already is.
