You Look Just Like Him

Vera saw a lot of Casey over the rest of the summer. They went to the fitness center together at least twice a week at somewhat random times and she saw him almost every Sunday for some reason or other. She wracked her brain coming up with countless excuses to keep seeing him that wouldn't seem threatening and seemed to be doing a decent job of it.

At least he seemed more comfortable with her by then. He often said hi to her first if he saw her out and about, which wasn't terribly much but it was better than nothing.

One Sunday when she was walking down the street near her complex, she saw Casey and tried flagging him down by calling his name. He didn't respond so she thought he didn't hear her and jogged to catch up with him.
