We Meet Again

"Camila! Come down here this instant!" Eva, a blond tall lady yelled out in a tiny voice.

A petite slender lady with big brown eyes and small feet dragged her foot up the stairs. "Coming, Eva."

"What is this?" Eva frowned. "I told you to fetch my gown from that old lady who needed to make it into perfection."

"But you paid for home delivery, Eva? Have you forgotten?"

"I'm starting to get annoyed at you calling me Eva. Call me something else, like ma'am." Eva said.

Eva was step sister to Camila and they were even the same age, but Eva has always been a bully to her since they were younger. Since her dad disappeared, she'd been stucked with her wicked step mother and sister. In school, she was always teased and people called her real life Cinderella.

Cinderella got a prince charming! For Camila, she was stuck with only the suffering part of Cinderella's life.

"Go fetch my dress already!" Eva whined.

They were getting ready for a dinner night from one of Eva's mother wealthy friends. And even though she wished she could stay at home and be by herself, Camila was forced to tag along.

Her shoulders sunk but she had no choice. "Alright then."

Two hours later, she came back with the dress, something short with the right amount of elegance. Her step mother was in the living room when she came back.

"Hello ma'am, good afternoon. Do you need anything?" Camila said.

Her step mother was exactly like her daughter, blonde hair with a stern looking face.

"How can you walk in with your filth and pollute the whole air! I've told you a million times now, never speak unless you're being spoken to, alright?"

"Yes ma'am." Camila said.

Everything annoyed her step mother. Lord knows she might even be damn angry she could breath the same air as her. The same hatred she had for her mother has been passed down to her in more than a thousand folds.

"Now, get out of my face."

Camila nodded and went upstairs to hand over the dress to Eva. "The dress is really nice!" She said to her step sister who only rolled her eyes.

"Too bad you'll never be able to wear luxurious clothes like this." Eva said with a mocking laughter following. "We leave in an hours time. Open the door for my makeup artist, will you?"

Camily couldn't help but feel bad. Her father had the house, had money in his account and it would have all been for her and her mother, if she hadn't died in that car accident...

With a bitter heart, she ran out to open the door for the makeup artist, then ran into her room. If you could call it a room. It was a smelly room tiny as ever with only one small window so less air flowed in.

Her phone rang and she saw it was Marco, the only one who called her anyway.

"Yo, what's up?" She said.

"I'm outside." Marco said with enthusiasm.

She would usually sneak through the back door to meet Marco since he wouldn't be allowed to come in. Marco has been her friend since middle school, when her mother was still alive.

"So, who's the new boy making you smile?" Camila said as she stepped outside.

Marco was a dark skinned guy, around twenty six, two years older than her.

"What? No. There's no new guy, actually it's you I'm happy for." He said, although Camila could see he'd been blushing. "You know how you asked that I checked your email for you every now and then?"

Camila had applied for a job just after her finals. She nodded to Marco's question.

"Guess what? You got hired!" Marco blurted out.

Camila didn't hear him well. "Wait, what? Are you for real!" Tears of joy filled her eyes.

"I am! I'm so happy for you." Marco squeezed her into a tight hug. "Now, you resume on Monday. And I have just the perfect first day outfit for you." He said with a smile.

"Oh Marco, what would I do without you?" Camila said, smiling brightly.

"Oh you know, you'd die from your poor fashion sense, also of depression. Also from getting laid every now and then...you'd die a virgin. I swear it!"

Camila's face reddened. "Shut up now. I know you're still interested in how my night went at the party last week."

"Who wouldn't! Was he hot? You might wanna hide him from me."

"Okay okay, he was hot. And really, I've never done this one night stand thing." Her face flustered again. She was always like that with Marco.

"It was my birthday and I wanted you to have fun."

"Well I did. And I don't regret it." Camila said proudly. She remembered the night like it was yesterday. How she had passionately given her body to this handsome stranger. She had met other men before, but the way he touched her...

"Okay stop blushing already." Marco teased. "Well the whole concept of one night stands is that you never meet that person again."

"Yea true. But how would you know though?"

Marco frowned. "You didn't ask where he was from?"

"Wait, do you normally do that? I didn't!"

"But then, you could meet him again some day. Dude, you should have confirmed he was a stranger here in New Jersey. Come on!"

"Stop that. You didn't tell me!"

"Are you a baby? I mean you look like one, but still!"

Camila sighed. "Well, I can never meet him again. I mean, he looked rich. Look at me? I don't go out to rich people's gathering..."

"And yet you met with him at the bar last Friday." Marco folded his arms beneath his chest.

"See, bar! I just won't go to any bar for a long while. I mean, with my new job now, I won't even have the time for all of that!"

"Well whatever. So when do you head back in?"

"Now actually, the witches in the house are heading over to this family's house for dinner. I think they're trying to matchmake their son with Eva, I dunno."

"Well that's the only way she'll find a man I guess. That bratty little--"

"--okay, big guy. Listen, I gotta run. And thank for much for...Monday! I'm so excited..." her phone buzzed. "Oh look, they canceled. Guess we still have more time."

"Wait, let's think of a lie so I can get you outta here." His index finger was busy drumming on his lips.

"I have to fetch onions! Let's meet out in the front. I'll be right back."

She hurried out and had the opportunity of spending a few more minutes with Marco, and even did a little shopping for her first day at work.

***

Monday morning came in a flash. She was putting on a pink suit trousers and blazers, with pointy heels. Her brown hair was wrapped in a high ponytail, and courtesy of Marco, a decent amount of makeup was on her face. Her full lips was accentuated in red lipsticks.

"Mrs. Reinhart?" A middle-aged angry looking man popped his head in after knocking on her door.

Camila frowned. Mrs? She was a miss! "Uh it's actually--"

"--you will be properly introduced to the staff members soon." The man cut her off quickly. "So be prepared. Oh, and the manager wants to--oh he's here now." He opened the door wider letting a young man in, then he walked away.

He was tall with a lovely masculine physique that made his suit look a little too good on him, like a model. His blonde hair was neatly styled and his face comprised of the right features that made a man handsome. He was also very familiar! He was none other than...

"One night stand?" He uttered in shock staring at her.
