Departure From Scotland

The kids were ecstatic that they were going on a plane ride. Not just an ordinary plane ride, but they have the whole plane to themselves. The minute they saw the jet, Duncan had to hold their hand so that they wouldn't touch the plane as it get ready for us to board it.

I, on the other hand, was standing back watching them. It was a rare sunny morning in The Highlands. It was like the weather wanted us to have a good flight.

Just like Duncan's instruction, we did not pack any luggage. I have to say, I agree with him. Hauling all of that luggage was a pain. Nicole was the only one to bring her unicorn stuffed toy.

"This is the first time this jet will be used since my father bought it," Colin said beside me. I was able to notice his scent before I heard his voice. Father and son like to startle me, or maybe they are testing how far the transition has progressed.

"Why did he buy this thing if wasn't using it?" I asked confusion written on my face.
