Chapter 28

A month passed, and Mia was sitting at the desk in her room, busy writing her most secret inner thoughts in her diary, a habit she had started doing since Damon died.

Dear Diary,

One month huh? It doesn't feel that way, though. So much has happened in the last month that I didn't even have a moment to myself. We all attended Damon's funeral. It was unfortunate. And it's really frustrating. When the boys and I went to say goodbye to Damon for the last time, they didn't even let us near him as he had requested a close-casket funeral before he died.

I could see that the boys were angry and upset, but I tried to take their minds off it by telling a few funny and happy stories about Damon.
