"I..." Charlotte looked at Henry Russell's solemn face, feeling somewhat frightened.
Henry didn't give her a chance to explain, he looked at Ethan and said, "Go home by yourself!"
Charlotte got out of the car, Henry opened the door for her with a straight face, not saying a word, without any extra expression on his face, but his jaw was a little tight.
The two didn't speak and silently went home.
When they were about to go upstairs, Charlotte looked at the still-silent Henry and gently touched his hand.
"I was wrong," she said, looking at him.
"No, you weren't," Henry said and turned to leave.
It wasn't Charlotte who was wrong, it was him, for not having the ability to control the whole situation, yet still wanting everything to go according to his wish.
Charlotte thought he was still angry, so she quickly grabbed his arm, "I really was wrong, I shouldn't have gone to dinner with him."
"Then tell me, why did you go to dinner with him?"
