The Stage is Prepared

Tian Zi and Fyre separated soon after they arrived at the Mo Estate—Fyre went to talk to the Sullen brothers to talk to them and Tian Zi to Daniel and Laotian. And as Tian Zi sat on his chosen chair across from where the couple was sitting, Daniel was looking at Tian Zi with a hopeful expression. Since their topic needed to be kept a secret from the rest of the family members, they decided to talk at the library where there were only the three of them.

"Tian Zi, I know we're not very close to each other but I have no one to ask for help that is more capable than you," Daniel started. Keeping his eyes at the Alpha. This is the first time he's asked for something from Tian Zi because even though it wasn't the case, Daniel felt like the young Alpha was rather reluctant to speak to him maybe due to them having the same age but Tian Zi was forced to respect him as if he was older just because he married his eldest brother.

And Daniel was half right but it's not like Tian Zi was forced to treat Daniel as if he was older because he truly respected Daniel as a person who despite his young age, was mature enough to raise his four children—even he could not have done that if it was him. Aside from that, he respected Daniel because, despite his appearance and good nature, he was brave enough to accept his eldest brother who was not the greatest man out there. Truthfully, he thought that Daniel would one day leave if he learned about the truth behind their family but he didn't and without hesitation and question accepted their faults. He didn't blame anyone and he also didn't force his older brother to change.

"It's okay. You are welcome to come to me in the future if you want help. It's the least I can do for Eldest brother who is helping me with ZNetwork," Tian Zi replied. He didn't mind really and he was bored anyway. If he had not been occupied with Fyre for the past days, he was sure he would be in his room playing games anyway. Besides, it was also fun to work on something especially when it involves ruining some bastard's life.

"Thank you... A-Anyway, I ask to talk to you today because of Maverick—" Daniel started but was stopped by Tian Zi.

"If it's about Maverick, Fyre and I had already fixed the problem. The public will fall into an uproar soon," Tian Zi said with a satisfied smile. Meanwhile, listening to his words, Daniel was confused.

"Fall into an uproar?" Daniel repeated in confusion. Laotian told him the situation might not be as simple as it was on the surface but he didn't think it would cause an uproar. "I-Is it that bad?" Daniel worriedly asked again. He had no idea what might be the reason for Tian Zi to consider the situation to be a cause of an uproar but Laotian assured him that Tian Zi was reliable so he had no doubt.

"Go straight to the point, Tian Zi," Laotian interrupted, noticing that his younger brother was beating around the bush leaving his wife all on the edge. Daniel is pregnant and he can't be too stressed even if his pregnancy wasn't as critical as his previous ones, especially before their fourth son—Elijah Mo.

"Okay... What I mean to say is that Brother was right. There was someone behind the situation and I believe their goal is the Sullen Corp.," Tian Zi said with a serious expression, looking at Laotian and then to Daniel who immediately had a dreadful expression.

"This case involved corruption, drugs, and even human slavery... Maverick Sullen has been a victim of that since he was 16 years old," Tian Zi continued. When Daniel heard all of it, his mouth opened in shock before he covered it with his hands. He immediately felt faint hearing the word "human slavery" and knowing that his older cousin was a victim of such tragic situation. Suddenly, a memory of his past involving his kidnapping incident, his body began to shake a little. The trauma that he thought was gone came back in an instant. Laotian noticed this and he immediately hugged his wife, comforting him by releasing his pheromones.

"Should I handle this for you?" Laotian asked dotingly. In the beginning, he was planning to look into the situation himself but since his wife said he wanted to do it himself to help his cousin, he thought it's alright. But, if this was going to cause Daniel stress, then it was better for him to do it instead. He didn't want something to happen to the Omega again now that he's pregnant with their fifth child. This was clearly something his innocent wife can't handle.

"Brother, you don't need to worry. Fyre and I have already prepared the stage for everyone to see and you'll only have to enjoy the show tomorrow," Tian Zi smiled proudly. When Daniel heard it, his teary eyes looked at Tian Zi in awe before he smiled gratefully at the younger Alpha.

"Thank you so much, Tian Zi... I really owe this one to you and Fyre," Daniel said, sighing in relief before he wiped his tears. His trembling also stopped after Laotian's comforting pheromones.

"No problem. Maverick is our friend and I'm always glad to be able to help someone," Tian Zi replied with a soft smile. Even though he looked rough on the outside because of his withdrawn personality, helping others still really gave him satisfaction.

"You should rest for now. Eli will be looking for you soon," Laotian interrupted as he suggested to his wife. Of course, he had another thing in his mind. He wanted Tian Zi to tell him the whole details of the situation but he can't have Daniel listening or else he'll only get stressed and endanger himself. At times like this, he realized that Luangmin and the twins' presence was much needed to distract his wife. Unfortunately, they are at school right now and will come back home early in the afternoon. That is… if the twins decided to listen to their nannies and go back without pranking them. Else they'll be back later in the afternoon when they're tired and hungry from playing too much.

"Okay. I think I need to rest as well before the twins get back home later," Daniel smiled sweetly and appreciated his husband's concern. Soon, Laotian escorted Daniel out but before he got out the door, he ordered Tian Zi to stay as he was going to come back. Of course, Tian Zi knew his older brother would want to hear more so he wasn't planning to leave already in the first place but he just nodded and waited until more or less 10 minutes had passed, Laotian came back and silently walked into the room and towards his previous seat.

"Now tell me the whole details," Laotian said as soon as he sat, looking at Tian Zi with a serious expression. Sullen Corp. is his wife's company that he was directly managing for him and knowing that there was someone that wanted it for themselves made him snap a few veins. He was aware that there was something wrong with the company data even before he started managing it but he didn't have proof so he couldn't bring it up to the board members. Since then he was very careful not to let anything pass his palms but the bastards were quite skilled and he was not able to catch them even until now. Not to mention, the person responsible was also being too careful so he can't let this opportunity pass.

"I hate to bring this up now but remember those men who took advantage of your wife?... They are part of those people. When I said human slavery earlier, what I mean to say was sex slave... If Daniel wasn't saved on time at that time, he would have had the same faith as Maverick," Tian Zi said, continuing with his serious expression. Meanwhile, listening to his younger brother, Laotian's hands formed into a fist remembering what his wife had been through. He already put the people in question behind bars but he didn't expect it would be brought up again after so many years.

"On top of corruption, the cycle goes like this. It's quite simple but highly effective... A group of men would lure young and innocent victims who are ripe and ready. It didn't matter if they were men or women or Alpha, Beta, or Omega. They would mostly target young employees, sons, and daughters of the employees or debuting artists that wanted to be famous. They would offer them fame and favor in exchange for sleeping with a few men. They would then record the whole thing and threaten the victim later on. Without power, the victims would then be swayed into doing everything in their favor—mainly becoming sex slaves. These victims are then drugged and sometimes auctioned out for a night or two."

"The Sullens are influential but the reason why Maverick wasn't able to get away from his situation for a long time was because of his father who tolerated it. If this was solved before, those people wouldn't have been able to build their strength to this much," Tian Zi said.

"Anyway, I'll send you later the whole details if by any chance they find a way to dodge our attack but I highly doubt it. I've also dug up something about the corruption in the company but wasn't able to get a lot. But you should be able to, Brother, since you hold the company data in your hands. I should also let you know that they have highly influential individuals behind them so you should be careful. This wasn't in any way a small group, they had various people involved across the country. You should talk to Older Brother Hanlu and his wife about it as well, they might be able to help," Tian Zi suggested. To be honest, he could have worked on it himself alone but he thought it was best to pass this massive case to his older brothers who had greater influence than him. As he said, this isn't a small group but instead, a large illegal group that the police force might be snooping into. His job was to remove Maverick's involvement in this and he had done that already.

"Okay, I understand..." Laotian said with a nod, already figuring out that the situation in the Sullen Corp wasn't as simple as he thought it would be. Hence, the reason why he couldn't find any proof. He thought he could just catch whoever his enemy was but he was wrong.

"Then I'll go ahead then," Tian Zi smiled and soon stood up already planning to go and find Fyre.
