In a Car Accident

Almost two weeks had passed since his arrival from Hawaii and ever since then, Fyre had no contact whatsoever with either Tian Zi, Jonathan, or Remi. He decided to do this because he wanted to move on with his life and not care about the thing he didn't truly understand. He had always been alone, and he will be okay alone. He had indeed become closer to Tian Zi and Jonathan in the past months, but he truly believed this was the time to separate. Nothing good has come to him staying connected with the Alphas, especially Mo Tian Zi. This was his initial plan and he did not change his mind. If ever, his decision had become firmer because of what had happened during the vacation.

Thankfully, just like Mo Hanlu had told him, no one was bothering him anymore. But since it has been just a month since the big wedding, there were still some active discussions online about him and the comments had been diverse. Some were still commenting negatively about him and some were trying to save him being that he was a victim of the media. Fyre wasn't bothered by it any longer that he started accepting hacking requests once again, thinking that if he kept himself busy, he would better forget about his worries.

Of course, the reporters and journalists who harassed him also got their punishment accordingly so all's well that ends well. For now, he just really wanted to focus and give himself better care and attention since he had never done that. So for the past few days, aside from sitting in front of his computer accepting light requests and watching anime, he also started taking an online class for baking pastries.

He was never a good cook and his favorite food was instant cup noodles and fast food but he has had a good amount of interest in pastries for a long time now; the only reason he hasn't started trying it was because he didn't have the time to get started and he didn't like the fact that baking would make him look more like an Omega but right now, he could care less about it. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Aside from computers, pastries were the only thing that could keep his interest high so he had no choice if he wanted his mind to stay preoccupied.

Thankfully as well, the person he didn't want to see or talk to also didn't bother him any longer. The first 3 days, he would still try to call and visit him but Fyre never came to see the Alpha so he probably gave up, which was for the better. Nothing good happens when he's with the young Alpha and one proof of that was him being pathetic that night.

*ting*

Fyre quickly stood up from his computer chair when he heard his oven, indicating that the cookies he was baking were done. As a complete beginner in baking, cakes and cookies were the easiest to practice with before starting with the pastries so for the past days he had been wasting all his ingredients in perfecting his cookies. He was planning that once he did, he would finally come and invite Remi to his place since the Beta had never seen his place yet. Remi cooked him a lot of dishes he liked when he was younger so he wanted to repay her a little. There is also that thing he wanted to try and ask about her and Jonathan because he remembered the two weren't talking even when they arrived from Hawaii.

They did ride the same car from the airport, but Fyre could still feel there was something wrong between the two and he's yet to find out what.

"Hmmm, I should reduce the amount of sugar on my next try," Fyre mumbled to himself, testing out his cookies and tasting that it's a little too sweet to his liking. But still, compared to the first one that was burnt and the next one that was still uncooked inside, and a few more fails that he painstakingly ate by himself, the one he did now was closest to perfection so he was satisfied even though it was too sweet.

As he was munching on the few cookies he baked, he suddenly heard his phone ringing. The people who actually had his number didn't exceed the number of his fingers and toes combined so he immediately had an idea who was calling him. When he walked to his phone to confirm, he audibly groaned in frustration seeing "Arrogant Prince" flashed on his screen which was obviously a nickname for Tian Zi. That has been his caller ID on his phone since the beginning.

"This fucker just doesn't stop!" Fyre muttered in frustration and quickly silenced his phone before throwing it in a drawer and proceeding to enjoy his cookies. He even went ahead to clean his kitchen before finally going back to his computer and did whatever it is he was doing earlier on never expecting that the Alpha soon came knocking on his door calling his name in urgency.

His doorbell rang unstop and he could hear Tian Zi calling his name from outside. It has been 20 minutes or so since the call and it's 6 pm. Thankfully, he didn't have neighbors or else with the Alpha's voice, the whole block where his house would have been would have known Tian Zi was being so clingy.

"Fyre! I know you're in there. You have to open this door...we don't have much time..." Tian Zi yelled in frustration along with ringing the doorbell. The reason he was like this was earlier, a message came to him saying that Jonathan and Remi Long got into a big car accident involving one truck and SUV on the expressway and now they're both brought to the hospital where the couple's condition didn't look good.

He tried calling Fyre but he knew the Omega would accept his call so he came to his house in a rush. He was even wearing the same clothes he had yesterday and he hasn't taken shower yet.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" Suddenly an angry voice asked from the inside of the house but the door never opened. However, Tian Zi was thankful enough. He could have just yelled what had happened so Fyre would come out immediately because he knew Fyre was upset with him about something but things like this shouldn't be just said.

"Fyre, listen carefully. You don't need to open the door. I know you're angry with me with something but let's put that aside now..." Tian Zi said first as calmly as he could. Fyre didn't reply but he continued anyway looking at the door with a serious expression as if he was looking straight to Fyre behind the door.

"I came here to tell you that Jonathan and your sister Remi got into an accident and are now brought to the hospital." Tian Zi conveyed and as soon as his words finished, the door suddenly opened showing the Omega total shock. His eyes were wide open as it pointed directly towards the Alpha. He didn't say anything and as if his expression was trying to scan Tian Zi to see if he was lying or not just to make him open the door.

"M-Mo Tian Zi! T-that isn't a nice joke!" Fyre said with a trembling and stuttering voice. However, even though he said this, he knew Tian Zi wouldn't make a lie about something like this.

"Fyre, this isn't a joke. They're both in critical condition right now. No news came out yet so I came here in a rush knowing that you are ignoring me. She wasn't in a good shape, Fyre. She might die." Tian Zi added with a saddened expression while watching Fyre slowly lose his strength at what he just said. At this moment, Fyre could already hear a ringing sound against his ears, it was so loud his head was starting to hurt. His tears began to build up before they started streaming down like a broken faucet.

"W-what should I do?" Fyre mumbled still trembling, finally falling on the floor crying. While he was leisurely baking cookies, cleaning his kitchen, and watching anime, his beloved older sister was fighting for her life. He couldn't help but think that if he could have just accepted Tian Zi's call right away, he could have rushed to his sister in the hospital right away. He could have been by his sister's side by now. But now, Tian Zi was saying that Remi could die?

"There's no time to waste. I'm going to take you to the hospital." Tian Zi said and quickly helped Fyre up. Even though the current Fyre was having a breakdown, they couldn't afford to spare more time. He heard their car swiveled to the other lane and hit a fast-approaching truck on Remi's side before they were thrown back and hit again by an SUV running 100km/h. The impact was so big, the car Jonathan and Remi were in, was out of form. It caused huge traffic all around the city.
