A yellow bumblebee BMW sports car parked outside of Fyre's building in the middle of a crowd composed of groups of paparazzi from different entertainment industries. The last time he was at this place was a week ago and although Fyre's house looked like an abandoned building, his front yard was actually clean and the grass was well maintained. However looking at it now, tents, vans, and trash were literally everywhere. It was clear to him that these people must have been camping at the place for the past three days.
Frowning at what he was witnessing, Jonathan couldn't stop the boiling anger simmering inside of him and he was going to make sure that these people would pay for what they were doing. On top of trespassing, this was a form of harassment as well, not to mention littering. These were all criminal acts. Jonathan didn't care if they were only doing their jobs. All these people must be charged for all their crimes. No matter how petty it was.
The people standing outside all looked at Jonathan's car in shock as they immediately prepared their cameras and started taking videos and photographs. Since the car he was driving was quite familiar, everyone immediately assumed that the person inside was none other than Alexander Jonathan Wood. It was the same car he had driven when he arrived at Mo Hanlu and Ian Andrews' wedding 3 days ago! All gasp in surprise and inquiry. Everybody now knows that Fyre Long was quite close to the nobleman as well, and everybody knows that Remi Long, Fyre's older sister, is Alexander Jonathan Wood's girlfriend.
Although everyone knew that Remi Long could have possibly asked her boyfriend to help her little brother, who would accept that? Everyone likes drama, so the simplest and most obvious reason was quickly erased out of the picture. As soon as Jonathan stepped out of his vehicle, people started going crazy with their takes and questions. Some questions were normal and reasonable, but some were quite suggestive as they all tried to get closer to him. If his body hadn't been strong enough, with him being alone, he would have been trampled by now. Thankfully, after his venomous glare, the persistent push towards him eased as he slowly but surely paced towards the front of Fyre's main door.
"Mr. Wood, what is your relationship with Mr. Long, aside from him being your current girlfriend's younger brother?"
"You were reported as being closer to Mr. Long during the wedding ceremony, and even gatherings before that. Is Ms. Long okay with you being friends with her Omega sibling?"
"Mr. Wood, we heard that you are still engaged to Ms. Margarette Silvostri from the House of Silvostri. How does the House of Wood react to you being in a relationship with Ms. Long? Can we expect your relationship with your current girlfriend to be long-lasting?"
"Mr. Wood, what is your comment about Mr. Long and the youngest child of the Mo household? Do they have a relationship? Is that why Mr. Long was chosen to be the maid of honor at the wedding?"
"Mr. Wood, do you think you can tell us whether Mr. Long will be the next in-law to the Mos?"
Jonathan listened to some of the questions and although some of them triggered him, he tried to hold back and chose not to answer until he finally arrived at the door. The paparazzi were still trying to squeeze out answers from him when he suddenly faced them with the same glare he'd had earlier. Everyone went silent thinking he was going to finally answer so, with only the sound of the cameras present, they all waited in anticipation. However, instead of answering the questions, Jonathan breathed a deep sigh and maintained his stoic expression.
"I know all of you are just trying to do your jobs, but what all of you are doing is a form of harassment. You all came here without permission, abused Mr. Long's rights, and on top of that, aside from trespassing on his property, you are also littering. Do you think he would just come out to talk and answer all your questions when you're all doing this against his will?" Jonathan stated with a serious expression that clearly indicated that he was not happy. Upon hearing his words, no one could respond because it was true that they were trespassing and some of them had even harassed Fyre by calling out his name in the middle of the night, throwing empty beer cans at the windows, and even trying to break into his house.
"No one can answer? I came here due to my friend and girlfriend's request, thinking nothing big was happening. But upon arriving here, I found out the seriousness of the situation. Mr. Long isn't a celebrity, like most of the people you follow and harass, so this whole situation could cause a traumatic experience for him. I just can't let this go and I will press charges against you all. If I were you, I would go back to my company and wait for our official complaint." Jonathan ended and once again everyone remained silent. This time, even their cameras began to silence as they were lowered, one after the other.
"Mr. Wood, as you said, we are just doing our jobs. It's the people's right to know who and what Mr. Long really is." One male journalist responded, to which Jonathan quickly glanced with a frown.
"People's right? Whether Fyre is Zi's lover or not. Whether he's my friend or not. That's our personal matter. Do people need to know that? Does there have to be a reason for Mr. Andrews to choose Fyre to be his maid of honor? Or are you just overstepping your boundaries? Yes, it's okay to do your jobs, but not to this extent and at the cost of someone's mental health." Jonathan replied, annoyed. He thought at this point people would start to understand their mistake but then another man spoke again.
"There are rumors that Mr. Long was part of an illegal group and that he's currently on a missing person list."
"Yes, he was on the missing person list but clearly he's not anymore. That information is outdated and why do people care about that? And about him being part of an illegal group, do any of you have proof? If not, this is clearly an act of defamation. In the end, doesn't this just boil down to the fact that people from the entertainment industries are just too nosy about other people's lives and enjoy making money out of it?" Jonathan sharply replied.
"Anyway, I will not stand still and let you all off. I may suggest you all go back now and if things go your way, none of you might lose your jobs. I am done talking to all of you," Jonathan declared and finally proceeded to knock on Fyre's door. Unfortunately, he didn't know the passcode to it. Surprisingly, after just one knock, the automated lock on the door beeped indicating that it had opened. Jonathan was caught off guard, but as soon as the door slightly opened showing Fyre's head slightly peeping out, Jonathan quickly blocked the view from the people behind him. He abruptly slipped inside the house in one swift movement that once again caused an uproar.
"Thank you," Fyre mumbled shyly as he wiped his tears. He didn't know why Jonathan was here and had said all that, but he was so touched that he couldn't help but cry as he thanked him.
Seeing this, Jonathan smiled helplessly and quickly pulled his friend into his arms. He didn't say anything because he knew the past three days had to have been very difficult for the Omega. It has not been long since he'd met Fyre, but in that short amount of time, he knew that Fyre hated being in a crowd. He'd hated being the center of attention ever since what had happened to him during high school. Remi had mentioned it to him before and although it was a common accident for recessive Omega's, that accident had caused him great trauma to the point that he didn't want to talk to anybody anymore.
"I'm sorry I didn't come until now. I'm sorry you had to endure all that for three days," Jonathan whispered as he continued to comfort Fyre in his arms. However, that didn't last as Fyre soon pulled away, wiping his tears. He was just happy that he now had someone to talk to. But despite being friends, he knew it was not right for him to hug the Alpha.
"No, it wasn't your fault. It was my fault in the first place. I should've called someone for help," Fyre replied between his sobs, pulling away and wiping his tears, trying to act strong.
"No, it's okay. Zi and I should've seen this coming but we didn't." Jonathan said, scratching his nape. Hearing Tian Zi's name, Fyre smiled, feeling guilty for ghosting the Alpha.
"I also didn't see this coming so it's not entirely just one person's fault. People out there are just crazy when it comes to things like this. We can't do anything about it," Fyre replied with a bitter laugh. Thankfully this time, his tears finally stopped dropping.
"Anyway, how about Remi. Is she okay? I couldn't go and contact her about my situation."
"She's fine. We were going to have dinner together with my sister and Margarette, but as soon as I heard from Zi what had happened I came immediately to help. I just couldn't leave you alone like this." Jonathan replied. He felt bad that he had to cancel the dinner, but he didn't regret it because he truly wanted to help Fyre. He didn't think he would be able to focus anyway if he went knowing Fyre wasn't in a good situation.
"What? I'm thankful for your help but you should not have compromised the chance to talk to your sister together with Remi..." Fyre said in urgency. "You know what? I'm fine being alone. You should just go already and bring Remi to that dinner tonight. I can manage from here on." Fyre said, quickly pushing the Alpha to the door.
"I've already canceled the dinner and called my sister. Now my mission is to get you out of here."
"What the hell are you talking about? This is my house. As long as I lock the door everything will be fine. Just make sure you bring Remi to that dinner." Fyre insisted. However, as soon as they reached his front door, the audible sound of people at his door and windows had them halting.
"You can use the back door and run towards your car…" Fyre suddenly suggested hesitantly. For the past few days, the paparazzi were still manageable, but after Jonathan arrived and walked inside his house, people outside sounded like an angry mob that would kill them on sight.
