Brandon led us through the waterfall into a secret pathway. He had used wood to make himself two chairs and a table.
"I must say, I'm quite impressed. Just within a month, you were able to make this place home. There are a lot of flower vases here. Some need to move out." Xavier said.
"Well, since you're back, we'd be leaving soon right? So, let's leave them here. In case anyone stumbles here, he'd feel at home too." Brandon replied.
Xavier shrugged and made himself comfortable in one of the chairs. Brandon motioned with his hand for us to sit. He then served us each water in wooden cups. I was impressed but curious about how he made these items but I chose to keep any question that was threatening to come out.
"The zombies are far away from us. I estimate they might find us here in a week. But I think we should leave earlier before the time is due." Xavier said.
"How do you know that they are far away? We all came together here and you know where the zombies are?" I asked.
"I have my ways. By the way, when we were on our way here, did we come across any zombies?" He asked in his usual cold tone. I then realized he was right. We never came across zombies.
"I think it's enough of the talking. We're staying here for two days then we'll leave. We'd all have to manage this room so, please watch where you put your stuff and where you undress." Xavier said but it seemed like his message was directed at me.
It was almost sunset when we all went out and made a small bonfire. It was strange that in less than twenty minutes, Xavier had caught a deer and brought it back. Since I wasn't a fan of watching animals being slaughtered, I roamed a little and by the time I came back, the meat was almost ready. We all gathered around the bonfire waiting for the meat to get cooked.
