Marzena was somewhat confused.
The man Rafał spoke to seemed to be an old acquaintance of his, someone who knew him very well, and yet it seemed that he did not know him at all.
That in itself was not so intriguing, but the man accused Brylski of being impotent, and that was already quite a bit of information.
Rafał Brylski impotent? Impossible! I mean, Marzena had never seen him in any intimate situation, but he had never seen her in such a situation either, so there was nothing to worry about.
Nevertheless, the accusation made by Brylski's friend made a clear imprint in the young actress' imagination.
Rafał Brylski impotent? Intriguing, really intriguing.
Even if the statement wasn't true, it definitely caught her attention, and if such a rumor went viral in the media, Skierska was convinced that it would ignite doubt in the minds of many people as to whether Rafał really had everything right with his manhood.
Is that why Brylski staged that situation where he pretended to have an affair with Anita? Is that why his assistant was so desperate to ask her for help?
Hm, could Rafał really be impotent?
Marzena remembered the scene of their kiss and how nervous the young actor was. But that didn't prove anything, because lots of beginning actors, as well as many experienced ones, have some problems with such scenes. To play a kiss well you either have to completely switch off to your surroundings or be at least a little exhibitionist. So Rafał's certain awkwardness in this scene really wasn't unusual.
The accusation hurled by the young man against Brylski ultimately seemed absurd to her, and Marzena smiled as she heard Rafał end the conversation. She decided that Brylski was really cool.
Suddenly, Skierska realized that the two men would be passing right this way, so she grabbed the pale Anita's elbow and pulled her inside the hotel. If they were going to be rivals in love, they couldn't be caught being friends.
Rafał, reddening with emotion, went inside a moment later. He saw the two women and went to them with guilt painted on his face as clearly as if it were painted with oil paints on a canvas by a master of the Romantic era. At this sight Marzena felt even more curiosity wondering what this was all about? After all, Anita and Rafał were not lovers. Probably.
“But you two are not really a couple?” the actress asked, starting the conversation.
Janiszek and Brylski looked at each other. First Rafał, then Anita, looked in the direction of the glass entrance, behind which the silhouette of the man with whom they had talked earlier appeared.
“We're not” Rafał admitted quietly. “A few years ago I accidentally said something that could now damage my career. He wanted to use that knowledge...”
So Rafał himself really admitted a few years ago that he was impotent? Or had he said something similar and now it was taking revenge on him?
Curiosity lit up in the actress like Christmas tree lights. She did not feel guilty about it at all. Curiosity is, after all, a quality inherent in every human being. And why a guy like Rafał said something that could imply that he was sexually handicapped was really interesting.
“Thanks to you, Marzena, I got rid of a huge problem. Thank you!”
Skierska found Rafał's mouth very appealing and wondered why she hadn't noticed it before? His bright, sincere and innocent eyes when he was talking to his colleague shone so strongly and with such passion that they could stimulate not only the heart of the woman watching him. Actually, Marzena had to admit that Rafał was really attractive...
“Well, no problem” laughed the actress a little nervously and added an innocent lie. “I have no idea what it was about, but I had a great time. I hope I didn't hit you too hard?”
“No, no," Brylski assured her, and Skierska found that she liked his lips more and more. “You really are a professional, Ms. Skierska.”
Damn, every word Rafał uttered was like some kind of mystical love spell, or at least an erotic one... When she looked closer at him, Brylski was really seductive. How could anyone suspect that he was impotent?
“A few minutes ago you were calling me by my first name. Can't we stay with that form? I'm not that much older...”
“O... okay.”
Brylski blushed extremely charmingly and Skierska suddenly decided that she wouldn't mind if she could spend a night or several with him and see for herself how false the rumor of his impotence was. Rafał gave the impression of being an extremely sensitive and sensual lover, who is undoubtedly capable of giving a woman plenty of pleasure.
He was probably just terribly shy! In addition, Różycki's clear reluctance and the resulting restraint of those on the set made Brylski uncomfortable and unable to open up. However, a moment of ordinary conversation in normal circumstances was enough and this guy turned out to be really interesting and attractive. Marzena had the impression that if she had extended a friendly hand to him earlier, she would have gained a really great friend long ago and maybe even someone more.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed that Anita, who was standing next to her, was looking at her with hostility. Maybe Janiszek noticed the change in Marzena and started to be afraid of her new rival, but Rafał said himself a while ago that he and Anita are not a couple, so if Marzena wants to get Brylski, it won't be a steal.
Besides, as long as a guy doesn't have a ring on his finger, he's available, and Brylski didn't wear one.
Skierska put Rafał under her arm.
“Have you eaten breakfast yet?” She asked him with a charming smile.
Brylski felt numb, as if the actress's touch had a petrifying power. It was so insanely charming!
“No," he admitted. “I was too nervous.”
“Poor thing!” Marzena pulled him towards the restaurant where breakfast was served. “I don't understand why some people think that a public figure can be used to get quick money. I heard that he was trying to blackmail you and I think you should notify the police....”
They were already in the restaurant and whether it was Marzena who got confused or the waiter, it was hard to say, but suddenly the actress noticed that Rafał was pulling her close and she narrowly avoided being doused with the hot coffee he was carrying on a tray.
Surprised, she leaned her hand against Brylski's chest and felt the pleasant hardness of his muscles under his shirt and the steady beat of his heart. Her heart for that hit much harder.
Today they would be acting out a similar scene to the one they had just reenacted. Today on the set they would fall into each other's arms. But Marzena began to doubt whether she would be able to play the scene professionally. Every minute she felt more and more desire to pull Rafał Brylski into bed.
Professional or not, Marzena was sure to play the scene credibly.
