My parents had left. Yes, they are probably at this moment boarding a plane back to Canada. My parents thought it was better for me to stay here for a while, at least until Catalina gives word. The fact that we have to wait for Catalina before we do anything was frustrating! But I couldn't complain.
I followed Courtney back to her house. Mrs Williams who joined us at the ceremony minutes before we were awarded our diplomas had to leave right after dropping us off.
"Alright, here you are ladies. Courtney, I don't think I have to remind you to take care. You might be home now, but that doesn't mean…."
"Mom! You just said it, you don't have to remind me. There will be no mess ups, I promise." Courtney had a bug grin on her face and her mother nodded her head in agreement.
"Better." With a wave, she zoomed off. Courtney turned swiftly on her heels before dashing towards her home's entrance.
"Hey! Who's carrying your luggage?" I asked with a frown.
