When I went back to the room, Ralph had already woken up, and the wounds on his face were not palpable after treatment.

When the doctor enquired about what had happened, he kept silent. He only turned around, asked me to pack up, and told me that we were about to leave here.

After a short while, Ralph and I got in the car and took our return trip.

We sat on the back seat side by side and raised the car partition to block the driver's eyes.

Ralph leaned toward me but closed his eyes once he got into the car.

I thought he was resting, so I held back what I planned to say. Then, I took out my phone and was about to tell my roommate that I was going back to live.

To my surprise, I heard Ralph's voice as I took out my phone.

"Do you still have the SIM card you used to chat with Wayne?"

Without expecting Ralph would suddenly make a sound, I was startled. I turned around and found that he had opened his eyes.

I nodded honestly after hearing his words clearly.
