TWO

Already aware of their arrival, Becca was waiting for them in her apartment. She could roughly guess what he wanted to talk about.

Doorbell rang and in the door cam were faces of Jake and Noah. Opening the door she greets them both.

"Hey Jake . Hello Alpha Bateman "

Jake is her brother in law so greeting him unofficially is fine but Noah is an alpha so he,s to be greeted with honorifics .

" Hey Rebecca ! how are you doing?"

" hey beauty becca. you became even more beautiful." as usual Noah tried to flirt but Becca was well aware of his antiques so she only rolled her eyes and invited them in to sit. Becca herself is the daughter of an alpha so aura of another alpha didnt phase her much.

"So??? What actually you wanted to talk???? " Becca asked looking at Jake, when everyone was seated with drinks and goodies she offered.

Taking a deep breath Jake said calmly without beating around the bush,

" Obviously its about Ana, you would have already guessed that...

Its only you, who knows everything about Ana, has been with her, is her family .....and is alive. So I want to talk about her past. What has actually happened,.... that ....Ana avoids to talk about, .....has nightmares.. almost every night,..... about which I've not been informed ever in this 2 damn years. "

Becca hears and sighs. And then says looking at him ,tried to reason with him. "You know its not my part to explain you everything. Its Ana's .Whenever she'll be ready, she'll talk-"

Jake interrupted her,

"I know when she'll be ready she talk to me but the fact is, she's not, she's not even in good condition. The nightmares have worsen. And i cant do any thing, ..... just because i don't know a damn thing. "

Jake looked a little desperate. And Becca could see this. She knows about Ana's nightmare problem. They have been there since a long time. She herself wants to do something so that Ana gets better . But she cant.

That's because she doesn't know, the thing everyone else wants to know .

She knows what her parents knew. She knows outer story not the full story. She just knows what she saw .

And Ana never talked about the matter to her or anyone else in past. After that incident Ana changed totally . The open, bubbly, playful,extrovert girl changed into total opposite. Closed, scared, anxious, introvert,timid . She rarely shared anything with anyone.

Becca released a sigh, thought about two minutes and then said softly,

" Jake ..... i myself don't know lots of things. She never actually said me or anyone what had really happened. None of us saw that coming . We could only see the aftermath . So no one knows full story. Not even me ."

"Okay ...okay ..... you dont know each and everything but you could've informed me whatever you knew."

Jake said while leaning with his elbows on his knees.

While Noah's face was serious but relaxed. He was silent, listening everything, letting the two talk.

"I or my parents didn't inform you anything because we didn't wanted it to come up infront of Ana . Keeping her in mind we thought, it should be Ana herself, to talk to you on this matter. And we knew whenever she's ready she'll talk, not only to you but everyone else. "

Becca replied.

Jake released a long breath. Persuading Becca to speak was becoming tough.

Noah who was listening calmly up till now planned to break his silence and help his friend.

" Not speaking on that matter wont do any good now . Probably ...it may only do bad. Seeing to present conditions, we have to do something. Either we'll have to make her speak maybe by force or we'll to come up with other ways to find our answers. So Becca .....it will be better if you tell us whatever you know.

At least we'll have something..... because presently we don't have anything. And force is the last rope we wanna hold because outcome always has some side effects too."

To emphasize his words Noah was looking directly in her eyes.

taking in deep breaths and contemplating Becca said,

" fine, I'm ready to tell you whatever I know . Although i think there is more that i dont know, infact a big part, that only Ana knows. So.....what do you want to know?? Where i should start??? "

"Beginning ." came an instant reply "meant beginning of the nightmares"

Becca took deep breath several times as she went back into her memory lane. She didn't knew how to tell him. How would he take it . If Ana comes to know, what will she think.

"Becca???" Jake said, he could see the wheels in her head turning so he warned her , afraid that she would backout now.

understanding his warning she smiled and reassured him " dont worry i wont backout"

"Soooo.... when Ana was fourteen . She went missing. And was found a month later unconscious in the bushes outside our pack boarders . When she was found she had loads of scars , bruises and wounds on her body. She started having nightmares after we found her."

Becca could see surprise written all over both men's faces. Pausing for few seconds and gauging there reaction she continued,

" after she returned she was absolutely different person . If not for the blood relation feel we would have thought she was someone else with same face . Always quite and locked up in her room, stark opposite from the previous bubbly and lively girl."

There was confusion on both the guys faces but two different questions in their mind, one of them asked but other kept his question for later.

"What??? How can she go missing just like that ??? " Jake asked.

"We don't know how did that happened. When we found her , she wouldn't talk to us. She only cried, was scared of everyone . When we went near her she would only scream not to come near her. It took almost weeks to calm down her fears. In those days she only slept when she was exhausted, otherwise she wouldn't. And whenever she slept, she always woke up screaming from a night mare . She just sat in a room, scared, no talking, no sleeping, no eating. Dad had to give her injections so she could sleep. "

"Where and how did you find her.???"

Jake asked again.
