The morning sun was warming the room, gently peeking through the curtains and filling it with a soft, golden glow.

Aalia slowly opened her eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on her face as she stirred from her peaceful slumber. As she looked around the room, an unfamiliar surroundings greeted her.

"You're awake?", a warm voice greeted her.

She looked around and found a handsome young man stood beside the floor to ceiling windows. He was watching outside view with a melancholy face, as she stirred up he turned his head and looked at her warmly.

He was wearing a black set of clothes in cntrast to his skin as he stood there the golden sun rays cast a shadow in his face. It was a mesmerizing sight.

"Who.. who are you?", she asked cautiously.

"Aali, don't be afraid I'm your brother.", he said to her gently.

"Brother?", she repeated and thought for a while.

"Yes, brother. Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?", he asked her.

"No.. no, what... What happened to me?", she asked.

"You got high fever.", he said.

"Why didn't I remember anything?", she asked again.

"Don't worry, doctor said it's completely normal to forget a few things after you suffered a high fever, you'll gradually regain your memories back.", he said patiently.

She nodded her head in thoughts.

"I'll bring your medicine. You'll be alright.", he said again after a while and left the room.

After sometimes, he came back with a bowl of medicine.

"Here drink it while it's hot.", he stretched out the medicine bowl.

"Alright.", she drank the medicine in one go.

The young man's phone rang. He led her to sleep again and went back to his own room.

Even if the room looked luxurious in first sight, after a careful watching, it carried a sense of disolated atmosphere.

"Hello, Lucas!", he answered the call and greeted the one who was on the other end of the phone.

"Lian, how's Aalia recently?", he asked the young man.

"She's fine, but she can't remember anything.", he said with a sigh.

"It's been almost two years since her amnesia started. Has she ever hypnotized before?", Lucas asked.

"I think, no. Infact I don't know exactly.", Lian said with a deep frown.

"Well, Lian, I called you because there's a phycology specialist named Johnathan, he was recently returned from abroad, I hope he can definitely cure Aalia, what do you say?", he suggested with a deep tone.

"Alright, let's try him.", Lian said.

"Lian, you really want her remember everything?", Lucas asked again.

"Lucas, you're also a doctor, how can you ask a stupid question?", Lian asked insted.

"You clearly avoid my question, isn't it?", Lucas said with a light laugh.

"You know, I don't want her to be a doll. She wakes up daily, and asks the same questions, drinks the same medicine. She is neither happy nor sad. How can she live like this forever? Even if she remembers everything, I'll be with her forever. I really want her to live well, with or without me.", Lian said honestly.

"Lian, you love her that much?", Lucas said. It was sounded like a query, but infact it was a statement.

Liam didn't say anything and stayed silent.

"Alright, I'll write a letter for Dr. Johnathan, don't worry, everything will be alright. I hung up.", Lucas said and as someone called his visit he hung up the phone abruptly.

Lian held the phone tightly, his eyes fixed on the screen, lost in a world of thoughts. Memories flooded his mind as he reflected on the past year. Aalia's life had become a constant loop, each day blending into the next. She would often talk about the sweet cries and contagious giggles of a baby. However, there were also moments when her mind seemed empty, as if lost in a sea of thoughts.

Other than two to three times, which she spent with the baby, her face was not shown any expressions. It was as if she had mastered the art of concealing her emotions, keeping them tightly guarded within her. Her lips would remain pursed, neither curving into a smile nor twisting into a frown. Her eyes, usually deep wells of emotion, seemed distant and detached.

Firstly, Lian engaged in conversations with her about studies, career prospects, and various other topics. But over time, a sense of concern started to grip him as he noticed the deterioration in her emotional state. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't wake her state of mind which weighed heavily on him.
