Curable

In an air conditioner room, a middle aged man was seated in a rolling chair. He was wearing a white coat which was indicated that he was a doctor. He skimmed through the reports in his hand with his brows knotted.

"Mr. Lian, Lucas talked about the situation briefly. Who are you to the patient?", he asked the man in front of him.

"I'm her brother. What's the status of the reports? How is her condition? Is she curable", Lian answered to him.

"Well, of course it's curable. But, it may take some time. She is under a lot of pressure. This is a condition like one fell into a coma. But at the same time, it's different as well.", the doctor said and wrote down something on a sheet.

"It's more likely, she had purposely forgotten. If we could remove her knot in her mind, she will regain her memories back.", he added after a pause.

"Doctor, could you please start the treatment soon?", Lian asked his dim eyes shone a bit.

"Sure. You can bring her tomorrow, we can start the treatment. After I personally check her, I'll estimate the duration of the treatment.", he assured Lian.

"Alright, thank you doctor.", he said a left.

He bought her favorite chocolate cake for her on the way home.

After he went to to the house as usual he went to Aalia's room. But, Aalia was not in her room. His legs became jelly in shock and fear. He searched around the entire house, yet he found nothing. She was gone. But where could she go? The cake box in her hand slid down.

In the past three months, other than she went to the washroom, most of the time he didn't leave her sight. Even, he worked from home. This was the first time he left her alone for a whole three hours.

He racked his brain in search for clues. She often talked about a baby cry and giggles. Did she went to found the baby? Or was she kidnapped? He couldn't ignore any possibilities. After a while of thought he decided to call the police.

"Brother.", as he was about to call the police a nervous voice sounded behind him.

He turned to look. She was standing behind him covered in mud.

He ran towards her and hugged her tightly.

"Aali, where have you been?", he asked in a deep voice, a hot tear drop rolled down from his right eye unconsciously. He wiped away as nothing happened.

"Bro...brother.", she started weep on his chest.

"It's okay, I'm here. I'm here.", he patted her lightly and consoled her.

"Come on, I'm here. It's okay, it's okay.", he assured her.

"Brother, I saw..... I.... I saw a baby.", she choked out the words.

"Brother, she.. she...", she stuttered more words.
