Chapter 11

"Jack!" I yelled, shooting up out of bed. I was hyperventilating, I couldn't breathe. I reached out to grab something, ANYTHING. I felt the guys stand on each side of me. I couldn't open my eyes, no matter how hard I tried.

"Jack I can't see!" I yelled. I couldn't calm down. I don't know what's happening to me. I didn't move though as I didn't want to hurt myself trying to move, and I knew I was safe feeling the sparks from Jack's touch.

"Go get Dr. Bill! Hurry!" I heard Jack yell to someone. He sat down beside me and pulled me to his chest. I started shaking at this point as tears rolled down my cheeks.

Soon after two sets of footsteps ran into the room, "Alpha, do I have permission to check on Luna?" I heard an older man ask. I felt Jack slowly nod, not missing the opportunity to let out a small warning growl.

"Hello Luna, my name is Dr. Bill. I've been taking care of you. What seems to be the problem?" He asked, checking my heartbeat, in my ears, and everywhere else a normal doctor would check.

"I can't fucking see!" I yelled. I stopped crying but I was trembling like crazy.

"You're going to be ok Luna. I need you to try and relax for me for a minute. Listen to Jack's heartbeat and breathing. Fade out everything around you and focus on him." He instructs as calmly as possible.

I did as he said, and I slowly began to calm down. I took one last sigh before my breathing went back to normal. "Luna. I need you to try and open your eyes again." Dr. Bill asks.

After about 3 minutes of trying, I finally was able to slowly peel them open. I winced at the bright room I was in, looking around taking in my surroundings. I then looked at the three beings around me all staring at me with 'awe' in their eyes.

"I've never seen anything like that, sir. This is completely unheard of. I still stand by what I said earlier. The quicker you finish the process, the sooner we can figure out what she is." I assume, Dr. Bill, said.

"How well can you see Luna?" He asked me. I was taken aback by his question. Not understanding the point.

"Ummm, clearly. I can see everything in this room clear as day, why?" I replied slowly.

"Luna the room is bitch black. The only reason we can see you is because we have night vision." He pointed out.

I looked at the other two men, "what is happening?!" I started freaking out again. My breathing is slowly picking up.

Jack cupped my cheeks, "Princess, calm down. Everything is going to be ok. I need to talk to you, alone. " He ended up looking at the other men in the room, watching as they slowly turned and left the room.

"Princess look at me." He semi-demanded me. I obeyed and looked into his eyes. He stared into my eyes for a while before talking again. "When you were asleep, Dr. Bill ran some tests on you. He said whatever happened caused you to become weaker. Your aura is strong, but your body can't keep up with it. He said the only way to save you, is to complete the mating process. He said if we don't complete it soon, your body will slowly start draining from the inside out." I looked at him with wide eyes, not knowing what to say as he finished his explanation.

"I'm going to be sick." I said as I started gagging. He quickly set me next to him and ran to get the trash can. As soon as it was in front of me, I let it all out until there was nothing left. I looked into the trash and saw blood.

"Um Jack. There's blood." I said trying to remain calm getting a strange feeling that if I freaked out it would make things a hell of a lot worse.

Jack rushed to look in the trash can, and I looked into his eyes. They are glazed over, a sign that he's mind-linking someone.

Not 2 minutes late, Dr. Bill and the other guy came running in. Dr. Bill started checking me over, "Alpha can I talk to you in the hall?" He asked respectfully but you could hear the worry in his voice.

"What's going on? What's happening?!" I yelled as they walked into the hallway, closing the door behind them.

"What is it Dr. Bill?" Jack was almost annoyed.

"Sir, I'm afraid the process needs to be done sooner than I had expected. Her powers are growing strong. Her body doesn't have much time before it gives up." Dr. Bill examined.

My blood went cold, I got up, yanking the IVs out of my arm, rushing to the door, "how much time do I have?!" I yelled.

Both Jack and Dr. Bill looked shocked, Dr. Bill looked over at Jack, "ok, maybe a lot faster than I had anticipated." He pointed, but looked back and forth between me and Jack, "I'd say roughly 5 months before your body can't hold in your power without completing the mate process. Your powers will consume you and you will quite literally explode." He said not being able to look at either of us.

I froze not being able to think, hear, speak, or move. All the blood rushed out of me. 'Im going to die' was the only thing running through my mind.

I finally snapped out of my trance and looked at Jack with tears pouring out of my eyes, "I'm not ready!" I cried.

Jack wrapped me in his arms as tight as he could, "It's ok princess. We have 5 months. You have time to think and get ready. Everything will be alright." He whispered in my ear.

The tears wouldn't stop coming, as I felt Jack pick me up bridal style and carry me out of the pack's hospital, and carried me into a bedroom.

He gently laid me down and covered me up, and soon he did the same and wrapped his arms around my waist like it was his last day with me.
