His fate was predetermined: fight, defend, and perish with the stars, a mere cog in the great machinery of creation. But something within him resisted this cruel fate. A seed of defiance sprouted in his heart, whispering of freedom. He sought a way to transcend the cosmic chains—to escape, to defy destiny, to seize freedom at any cost. As a mortal, he felt the agony of watching his loved ones wither and die, powerless to stop the decay of time. He wept for children, lovers, friends. As an emperor, he conquered kingdoms and wielded unimaginable power, only to be betrayed by those he trusted most, dragged from his throne, and executed in shame. As a beggar, he wandered the streets, starving and shivering under the cold gaze of uncaring gods. As a villain, he became the monster in stories told to frighten children—burning cities, drowning nations in blood, only to be hunted and killed by the heroes of those same tales. As a saint, he gave everything—his wealth, his strength, his life—to others, only to discover that gratitude was fleeting and the world did not remember the sacrifices of the righteous. But, Every failure, every death, every betrayal—they were nothing but steps on a long, infinite path. And the path had only one direction: up, through the layers of existence, through the fabric of reality itself. No prison could contain him. No curse could hold him. His heart whispered one thing to him, a truth carved into his soul:Move forward. Always forward. Because he was Li Shenrong—the Lord of the Celestial Throne.
'Humph! Even if i die i will go honorably.' Her iris's gleamed with power as her aura soared to the sky.
Compared to the monsters gigantic head she seemed like a tiny insect that could be crushed anytime.
Her blue hairs fluttered in the wind with her body levitating few hundred meters above the ground. Jessi moved forward at sonic speed as she dodged all the tentacles and drew closer to one of its head.
She threw a punch at full force, just as the monsters head and her fist was about clash multicoloured light filler her vision.
All of a sudden everything went silent. Jessi felt strength leaving her body and a great force pulling her down.
After an unknown amount of time passed jessi slowly opened her eyes. She found herself laying flatly on the ground. Her eyes darted around searching for the monster, only when she saw there was no sign of that monster her mind relaxed a bit.
'Where am i?' She stood up shakily and saw a vast grassland. There was full of verdant lush greenery as far as she could see.
Her mind jolted with a thought as her heart started beating faster.
'Did i went through a gate? This is another dimension or another world!'
She stood there blankly without knowing what to do.
'I have no way to go back. What should i do? I don't even know where i am! Human kind never been able to explore the other side of the gates.'
All kind of thoughts flashed inside her mind. Jessi tried to fly but it seemed a great force stoping her from flying.
Left with no choice she started walking on a random direction.
After moving for ten days Jessi arrived at the outskirt of a small village. Even though on earth jessi looked like a valiant warrior with extremely beautiful features but here after surviving a great ordeal her aura diminished and she looked like a beggar. Her hair was messy, torn and dirty clothes and that long patched up robe that she was wearing which was found on the roadside made her looked like a dirty beggar. Her perfect curvy figure was hidden beneath that dirty robe.
The village guards didn't stop her entry as she quickly found a corner of the street and sat down for rest. Few villagers threw some coins at her while sympathising.
Jessi didn't mind, instead she gave them a grateful look. Of course she would be grateful because in this unknown world she was dirt poor with no money and knowledge. At least she could buy something to eat or drink.
She slept and rested on the same spot for five days. After speculating that the amount of coins were enough she slowly stood up and left somewhere else.
Jessi didn't clean her unkempt messy hair, she even smeared her face with dirt to disguise her beautiful face, but she bought a new robe to hide her body.
'At least now no one will think of me as a beggar and i should be able to gather information.' Thinking inwardly jessy left the shop with satisfaction.
'After asking for a whole day i found nothing much. I was told this place and all the other areas belong to a sect named Locust. And what is a sect? Where immortals gather and protect the world? This is bullshit. How come there are immortals, where am i? In a world of childrens fairy tale? When i asked in detail they couldn't even say anything properly. Sigh they truly are ignorant. But one thing they said is useful that the so called locust sect will recruit people after two days. I should be able to get in and gather more information. Everything needs to be done step by step I can't expose myself as an otherworldly human.'
Lying down on the street while looking at the vast starry sky jessi sorted out her inner thoughts.
