Lord of the Celestial Throne

His fate was predetermined: fight, defend, and perish with the stars, a mere cog in the great machinery of creation. But something within him resisted this cruel fate. A seed of defiance sprouted in his heart, whispering of freedom. He sought a way to transcend the cosmic chains—to escape, to defy destiny, to seize freedom at any cost. As a mortal, he felt the agony of watching his loved ones wither and die, powerless to stop the decay of time. He wept for children, lovers, friends. As an emperor, he conquered kingdoms and wielded unimaginable power, only to be betrayed by those he trusted most, dragged from his throne, and executed in shame. As a beggar, he wandered the streets, starving and shivering under the cold gaze of uncaring gods. As a villain, he became the monster in stories told to frighten children—burning cities, drowning nations in blood, only to be hunted and killed by the heroes of those same tales. As a saint, he gave everything—his wealth, his strength, his life—to others, only to discover that gratitude was fleeting and the world did not remember the sacrifices of the righteous. But, Every failure, every death, every betrayal—they were nothing but steps on a long, infinite path. And the path had only one direction: up, through the layers of existence, through the fabric of reality itself. No prison could contain him. No curse could hold him. His heart whispered one thing to him, a truth carved into his soul:Move forward. Always forward. Because he was Li Shenrong—the Lord of the Celestial Throne.

Somewhere in Asia, midst of a dense misty forest, four people sat below a huge tree. Faint yellow light could be seen covering their whole body.

The only girl among the four stood up and turned around to look at the other three.

" I know you all are injured to a various degree but we need to find the gate as quickly as possible. We will destroy it or have to seal it. " She spoke with determination.

The other three casted their head down and sighed, since their joining of Sage Association this was the hardest mission. Threat of death constantly loomed over them but they aren't left with any choice but to continue.

A middle aged man among the three stood up and tidied himself up. His gaze turned sharp as he took a deep breath and mentally preparing himself again. Others also stood up and followed suit.

The girl nodded her head and sprinted ahead swiftly. Her speed was extremely fast like a spectre. The other three was enveloped by a yellow light which seemed to increase their speed.

The girl as the group leader was extremely vigilant, she would stop from time to time and listen to the growling noises of beasts.

She was about to move ahead again but she froze, her whole body turned cold as her pupil shrank. The other three also felt the same.

A shiver ran down her spine as she took in the creature's gaze. The three massive, green eyes glowed ominously, each one larger than her entire torso. They stared down with an intense gaze as their glow illuminating the darkened surroundings with an eerie light. The pillars on either side loomed high above, rooted like ancient sentinels, creating an iron border that trapped her in place. She craned her neck, trying to glimpse the rest of the monster, but its body stretched far beyond her vision, disappearing into the shadows above. The air felt thick, pressing down on her with the weight of something ancient and powerful.

Every breath felt heavier, as if the very presence of the creature was draining the strength from her limbs.

At the moment there was only one thought in her mind "run".

She shouted and vanished like puffed smoke. Her body instantly appeared few hundred meters away. This was one of her signature ability "Light escape" which allowed her to compete with rank 9 super humans before.

With fearful eyes she looked back only to stare at horror. Now she could see the whole body of that monster. The word huge would not be enough describe its size, its body was like a serpent which spanned across her whole vision as far as she could see. Six tentacle protruded out of its face or head who knows from where, which she mistook as its leg.

Frontal side of the monster was extremely bizarre looking, she couldn't make head or tail out of it, only those three deep green eyes confirmed that it could possibly the head.

She didn't dare to linger around, deep blue light burst forth from her body as she flew to the sky leaving behind a trail of blue light.

She looked below on the ground and saw the monster following her closely which almost sent a shiver down her spine.

'What kind of monster is that! If this monsters existence is known to the world it will flip the worlds current power scale. I can't imagine anyone could defeat it let alone killing it. Even those legendary rank 9 Super-humans couldn't be its match.'

A huge tentacle shot toward her from below, with one hit she would be pulverised.

'Jessi move away. ' The girl screamed inside her mind as she barely dodged and flew forward.

Countless black insects poured out of that tentacle and followed her like swarm of bees.

The monster continued to chase her with greenish liquid spewing out of its pores. Wherever those liquids fell it vaporised everything creating deep pits.

After a few breaths of time she felt something was off and looked back.

'Hmm its gone? No I can't stop.'

Jessi didn't dare to believe that the monster would stop until it kills her. As she was about to fly again her eyes almost bulged out from its socket.

'It can actually fly! Damn it.'

The monster was floating, its humongous body covering the whole sky, three gigantic head came out of its body as it shot countless black tentacle toward her.

'I can't dodge it!' Left with no choice jessi had to fight head on with the tentacles.

She punched with extreme force, with just one punch she could destroy mountains but when her fist collided with the tentacle she felt her hand hit the most sturdiest thing in the world.

Blue lights flickered continuously around her body proving that she was injured with just one hit.

'What kind of creature is it! Mankind cannot compete with this thing. I cannot escape nor i can fight it, sigh so this is how i die. Others are probably dead too.'

Jessi thought as she continued to dodge but her strength and energy was limited.
