Chapter 173 - Two New People

One week passed pretty quickly. Axel spent his time working on his basic abilities. Such as his speed and physical power. He starts to understand that in one week of time, even with the use of Void, the nen abilities and other nen techniques would not increase much in proficiency.

Especially as he increases his power and reaches higher levels, the increase in power gets slower and slower than usual.

Ging called Axel again to tell him where to come before the last day. The place Ging named is Highland Manor, just about seven hundred kilometers west of his current location.

Axel traveled for hours through the Yorbian continent, the sun shining brightly above him. The terrain was rugged and rocky, with only a few sparse trees dotting the landscape. But Axel paid little attention to his surroundings; his mind was focused solely on his upcoming mission with Ging.

As he approached the Highland Manor, Axel couldn't help but be impressed by the grandeur of the building. It was an ancient castle, towering over the surrounding hills with walls that seemed to go on forever. The main entrance was a grand archway carved from dark stone and guarded by two imposing stone statues of knights.

"These kinds of places must have been built back in ancient times. Sometimes I could not help but wonder, The ancient times of the Hunter x Hunter world must be something to see."

Axel made his way through the entrance and was greeted by a grand hall that stretched far beyond what he could see. The walls were lined with tapestries and paintings, and a grand chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the entire room. The air was thick with the smell of polished wood and expensive perfume.

Axel walked towards the reception desk, where a young woman with bright red hair greeted him with a warm smile.

"Welcome to Highland Manor," she said, her voice melodic. "How may I assist you?"

"I'm here to meet with Ging Freecss," Axel replied, his voice low and steady.

The woman's eyes widened slightly, and she quickly regained her composure.

"Of course, sir," she said, reaching for a phone. "I will inform Mr. Freecss of your arrival."

Axel waited patiently, his mind racing with anticipation.

After a few minutes, the woman hung up the phone and turned to Axel.

"Mr. Freecss will see you now," she said, pointing towards a set of large oak doors.

Axel nodded and made his way towards the doors. He pushed them open and stepped into a large room filled with all manner of books, artifacts, and strange devices.

Of course, none of them emitted nen, which made his interest in these items and artifacts wane.

The walls were lined with shelves, each one filled to the brim with ancient tomes and mysterious objects.

In the center of the room, sitting in a large leather chair, was Ging Freecss. He was a tall man with wild black hair and a scruffy beard. His eyes were bright and piercing, and Axel could feel them examining him, sizing him up.

"Welcome, Axel," Ging said, his voice calm and relaxed.

Axel stepped forward.

"So, are we going to work together without other people?"

Ging smiled and got up.

"Of course not; we have two more people to come here before the night. When they arrive, I will tell you guys about the details of the mission and compensation for your work."

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
