Chapter 14 - The Battle Of Nen and Playground

A few seconds later, worms began to emerge from underground.

They weren't exactly like worms. They looked more like worm-shaped creatures with pincers.

Their length was not entirely clear, but their thickness was equal to that of a human body.

"Sand Playground—Funny Worms" was Algan's special ability, and if prepared correctly, it was a very powerful ability.

Algan began to speak with a smile on his face. explaining some of his abilities. which is common for people who create abilities with restrictions and conditions.

"Funny worms will attack you; defeat them with strong nen attacks."

"They can't get out of the sand playground, but you can't leave the sand playground either."

"You must kill me, put me in an unconscious state, or destroy all the funny worms if you want to leave the playground."

"There's one more way to escape from here, but it's a secret."

"Let's start the game then."

Along with Algan's words, Navi and Ekail jumped, and Navi called out to the short man as she jumped.

"Careful Karies, try to escape as much as you can and cooperate with us!"

Karies looked at Navi and replied that his face shows a clear disturbance.

"Got it; I'll wait!"

Navi gets attacked by three funny worms the second she jumps.

The aura around her body grew stronger, and she was able to punish the Funny Worms that were attacking her with one kick and two punches.

But she had not managed to destroy them. The creatures she managed to repel fell back into the sand and burrowed into it.

Ekail took a deep breath and began to watch it all happen.

"Every Funny Worm has a serious nen aura when they emerge from the sand, but it drops by more than 80% the second they leave the sand to attack."

This means that Funny Worms are not able to leave the sand for very long, and they lose 80% of their total power the second they leave the sand underground.

"If I set foot on the sand and get caught by a few of them, they can pull me into the sand with the pincers they have and by using numbers."

"Which means the result would be getting killed."

Navi, like Ekaeel, had noticed all this. However, realizing this did not imply that they had won.

They still had an issue to solve.

To stop the ability, they needed to stop the man named Algan; the Funny Worms were simply untouchable in the sand they were in, and they couldn't kill each of them as they attacked them.

They never attacked a single one.

They were always targeting and attacking in three or more ways.

It takes a lot of aura to make a powerful attack enough to destroy Funny Worms, and when they performed a powerful attack, the aura on the defensive side was too much weaker and they were killed.

It was too risky.

Ekail and Navi managed to repel a few more attacks. They were attacked again every three seconds, and it was hard to predict where the attack would come from.

"What do you think?"

Ekail called out to Navi.

Navi took a deep breath and looked at Algan.

"Andes is gone!"

Navi took a deep breath and thought. A few seconds later, a light appeared in his eyes, and a smile appeared on his face.

Algan realized that part of his ability had been understoodbecause of Navi.

"The Mad Woman Andes told me that Navi was intelligent and strong nen expert and master. But I wasn't expecting so much!"

"They are starting to understand the nature of my ability less than one minute after the battle started."
