"COULD I INTRODUCE MYSELF TOO?"

Before Peter, Nolan, Orlando and Jin, a new Mecha Soldier had shown up.

"CALL ME KING OR GO DOWN"

Peter turned his head to the Merged Insectoid Mecha Soldier. It towered over them both and they had to raise their heads to meet its eyes which was already insult enough.

"WOW WHAT AN EGO."

"NOT TOO SURE I LIKE YOU," Orlando added

"OH, KINGS DON'T HAVE TO BE LIKED. THEY JUST NEED TO BE RESPECTED."

Peter laughed and Orlando followed

"*ENHANCED PLANCHE LAUNCH!*"

"IS HE SUPPOSED TO SAVE YOU?" Tumunomi Escaver was not even glancing back as his own members tried getting through to him.

"Batch Leader, you heard him say that his name was Peter. It could be our Peter."

"What are the odds?"

"Are you crazy?"

"Do you not see the line up. What would happen if they all merged?"

After a while of tenuous and uncomfortable silence, as if buying time, Peter spoke. "KINGS ARE BUILT FROM TRIALS"

Orlando verbally agreed as Jin was wondering when he could let out the fight. "CAN'T DENY THIS ONE."

"SO, NO PLEDGES?"

Tumunomi Escaver how much of this influence was gotten from movies and he laughed it off. But would maturing at this rate be a good thing for them all.

They had not even started cultivation.

This was all a trial.

As George had been running towards him, Orlando had been stepping back slowly.

Now, Orlando made a jump that took him at least 25 meters back as George was now airborne, having launched himself forwards and towards the Merged Insect Mecha Soldier.

"*ENHANCED TACKLE!*"

Tentacles dropped to the ground and burrowed into the sand to find a surface that was tougher than any man made object.

"*ANCHOR*"

Then, drilling into it, the Insectoid Mecha Soldier twisted on the spot.

"*TWISTER*"

5 knots of wind poured around the Mecha Soldier after it spun once.

WHOOOSH!

MRS-ForeLimb8503 flew back 150 meters and MRS-Skull4827 only reached 70 meters because the force of its advance had not been built up.

Strangely, Orlando's Mecha Soldier took a stance as of running at the Olympics.

"*ON YOUR MARKS: SNAIL'S CRAWL, SET: GO!*"

"*ANCHOR*"

Their Mecha Soldier of only legs and a tail had been posing for a run before suddenly appearing 59 meters closer in Tumunomi Escaver's sight behind the tornado encircling him.

"*FLYING KICK*"

"*TWISTER*"

WHOOOSH!

MRS-Hindlimb7762 got thrown away 200 meter, even when Tumunomi Escaver had only seen it make 2 moves; one a step that closed 50 meters and another which was a flying kick the disturbed air around him threw back.

Peter and George had long set themselves in a formation that put the Merged Insectoid Mecha Soldier in the middle.

"*SIDESTEP BUILDUP*"

Like and athlete doing warmup up steps, MRS-Hindlimb7762 shuffled his feet as he lowered his knees

"*ON YOUR MARKS: SNAIL'S CRAWL, SET: GO!*"

Again it crossed half the distance with the 1st step but now it was originally 200 meters away.

"*FLYING KICK*"

This time, half Mrs-Hindlimb7762's calf made it through the swirling wall of wind around Tumunomi Escaver.

RIIIIP!

"That was close, I think we should we should take precautions."

Andrew and Jake tired their leader and part of him wondered if he should discard them as MRS-Hindlimb7762 was sent flying by 300 meters.

Peter and George had almost laughed but their expressions resumed their grim countenances.

Orlando and Jin righted their Mecha Soldier before shuffling their feet more aggressively and then setting themselves into stance.

MRS-Hindlimb7762 had finally made it through and it was half a second before Tumunomi Escaver would get a kick to his Mecha Soldier's face.

"*RELEASE*"

CLANG!!!

The tentacles attacked to hard ground, whipped out in freedom and struck against the approaching clawed feet of MRS-Hindlimb7762 and sent it away by 500 meters this time as an even greater wall of wind surrounded it before it dissipated.

"*ON YOUR MARKS: TURTLE'S STEPS, SET: GO!*"

200 meters in once step

"*ANCHOR*"

Peter was now beside George and was looking at the Mecha Soldier who had not shifted an iota from his soot since he arrived.

"Hey George we should Merge now."

"Hell Yeah."

A blue light covered them and then two separate entities became a singular combination.

Mecha Soldier MRS-ForeLimb8503 did not look much different outside of now gaining a head to its body.

Peter set up George as Secondary Controller, Nolan and Stone as Tertiary and the Batch 4 Teammates as Quaternary.

Oh, there was a difference to the Reptilian Merged Mecha Soldier, its spine trailed past its body and its chest was wide at the top but concaved at the ribs. Pus spine trailed its forehead down to the tip of its tail now at least 350 meters long.

One could say it looked a King Cobra.

Spine overlaps itself and then makes connections wherever they touch before squeezing itself it crushes or separates the victim.

Spinal spikes act as independent parts and wriggle into every possible space before springing away and yanking free a victim's part from its main body.

Breath of Fire

Spray of heat from the jaw. Overheat Mecha Robots or boil their passengers alive

Melt metal on touch. Systems would need at least 10 minutes before reuse.

In that moment, a gas that releases interfering waves to get in the way of an approaching Mecha Soldier's signals.

Spines coil around arms to make sure for a Greater Boost.

Sticky flame and hard to get rid off. Not unquenchable, but tough and almost tangible.

Peter smiled inside as he slithered towards The Insectoid Merged Mecha Soldier who was carelessly dealing with MRS-Hindlimb7762.

Sparing a glance towards the Reptilian Merged Mecha Soldier, Tumunomi Escaver directed a question at it.

"SHOULD I WAIT IT OUT BEFORE YOU MERGE OR DO YOU THINK THAT IS ENOUGH."

"YOUR ARROGANCE IS STUPENDOUS."

"YOUR IGNORANCE IS SELF DESTRUCTIVE. I NEED SOMETHING INTERESTING."

George ground his teeth and then directed towards Peter.

"He is indeed right. Maybe we sh-"

"We need to wear him out. Consider that he has barely done anything."

George had no response but Nolan had something to say to that. "But by wearing him out, we are wearing ourselves out too."

"I know, but what choice do we have?"
