Prologue

If light touched the ocean waters with its fluorescence, it would become richer and blooming like a melody. A melody that’s coherent, calm, soothing ― blissful. As if a piano began to play a note that affected calamity to bring infinite destruction to a planet of stillness with its mysterious tune of horror. The thrilling harmony will set the ground ablaze like a dormant fire that was waiting for the opening song to play, causing the audience to cry distressed tears of woe.

The land that was once a home for mankind, turned into a stagnant nothing except poverty and crime. Wars occur every so often, sometimes in the midst of a heated argument ― though, those aren’t often due to the people not having enough energy to drawl out a syllable to start a conversation. The world used to be vibrant in indescribable colors ― like a garden of flowers ― but like all pretty wonders in the universe, they wilt and decay into misery. The kind of misery where depression isn’t called depression anymore, it’s an emotion that everyone struggles to cope with every single day.

The piano will begin to slow in a suspenseful chorus that brings everyone to the edge of their seats, waiting for the anticipated climax that they all prayed to commence in a beautiful sympathy, but unfortunately, the sound of the desperate cries will overlay the upcoming pre-chorus as nature begins to suffer in emptiness and loss.

The begging for a savior will get louder, filling our ears as others question our current predicament ― what happened to our memorable world that we once loved and cherished?

But a number of people already know the answer to the suspenseful question everyone is curious about ― The Demon. The figure that lurked in the shadows years ago, spilling the blood of the innocent as it selfishly did what it wanted for years until an obscure genus cornered it and defeated it while they held onto their last breaths. They were wounded, defeated, but they didn’t surrender until the monster was killed permanently. Forever out of reach to those who were traumatized and scarred from his chaos.

The anticipated climax seemed to drag on as the people stayed alive with bated breath, trying not to give up ― albeit the light in their eyes faded from the hunger, stress, and impatience ― they remained still, motionless, and unnerved as time ticked by like a slow clock that went on, and on, and on annoyingly. Their heart clenched in grief as they continued to stay strong for the savior to show up. To one day save them all from the recession and trough.

The hours ticked by as everyone aged horribly. Before long, some of society slumped to the motionless world that they despised, but others were still desperately holding on with no other option in mind. They all tried their best in their own way but now they have to step aside and wait for the destined savior.

Months turned to years.

Years turned to centuries.

Then the anticipated climax came ― the world seemed to stop for a moment as a ray of crimson light fell on the planet, shaking the ground like a violent earthquake as it made a harsh impact when it landed. No one knew where it came from or where it went, it’s like it simply vanished. Some thought it was a fever dream that caused them to hallucinate until everything slowly healed, restoring the colors that once left years ago during the disastrous intrusion by the demon.

Everything is beautiful again.

The song should’ve been over, right?

Actually, the song is just beginning as the tune changes to fit the new chapter in everyone’s lives. The unexpected impact of agony and war.

In other words, the show has just begun.
