“Childish”

Bennett stared forwards in utter shock, a painful groan heard from Reece, as the sight was horrific, a spear plunged in from the back of her head, sticking out through her eye, blood gouging out.

Her mouth was wide open as she grabbed the handle of the spear, trying to yank it out. Bennett held his mouth in disgust as he looked past Reece, spotting a second spear being thrown towards them.

"Watch out..!"

Bennett tackled forth, knocking Reece out of the way as she fell to the ground, the spear missing Bennett by just a hair.

He crouched down to Reece, holding the back of her head as he yanked the spear out with hesitation, completely disgusted by the sight.

Reece continued yelling in pain, a hole now through her head as you could see right through her eye socket. She held her hand over her eye as her monstrous mass formed over one of the many knight corpses, consuming it as Reece regenerated.

"The hell..!?-"

Bennett was interrupted by a sword flying at him, caught by Reece just in time as she looked further into the graveyard, spotting yet another knight, approaching with a halberd in hand.

Bennett ignorantly took the sword from Reece, yelling out as he ran to the knight, swinging towards them only to be met by a kick to the stomach, launching him into a gravestone.

Reece used such a distraction to dash towards the knight, forming her monstrous mass into an axe-like shape as she swung it down to the knight's shoulder from behind.

The knight swung their halberd up, having it collide with Reece's attack, as she switched the form into a blade, thrusting forth, as the knight turned around, twirling the halberd to parry yet again, then throwing the spear just behind Reece as it stuck into the ground.

Two blades formed into the dirt beside the knight, as they lifted them up and began barragging Reece with attacks, as Reece blocked each, attempting to counterattack as the knight quickly kicked her back before she could.

She landed with the handle of halberd stuck within the ground stabbed through her back, blood pouring from her mouth as she attempted to yank herself free, only to be met with a stomp upon her chest from the knight, sending her all the way down to the blade of the halberd.

After a moment of pain and strugglee she snapped the majority of the halberd off, then yanking the remains out of her back as she gritted her teeth angrily, throwing punches to the knight as they easily avoided each one, countering with a chop to her shoulder, disabling it.

She held her ahpulder in pain, stumbling back on one knee as she was kneed in the face, put back up on her feet as she stumbled backwards as if trying not to fall.

She caught her footing, reading to return to the assault, only for her eyes to widen, a bundle of swords flying to her with no chance to escape, attempting to form her mass into a shield thought it wasn't going to form in time.

She closed her eyes, bracing herself, entering her thoughts to at least be able to ignore the pain, though a vision clicked within her.

She remembers her fight with Morell, where it all began, how Morell avoided her barrage of tendrils, the tranquility of her fluid movements.

Reece was aware she could never mimic such, but she could recognize her flaws, taking a step forth as she regained an angry expression. She caught the first sword, instantly dashing forth as she blocked the rest by swining at them.

She made her way through well keeping on her agression, the knight seeming startled as she suddenly popped out in front of them, her sword met to their neck as she sliced the knight's head off.

Reece sighed in relief, though her face quickly became a one of confusion, as not a drip of blood was seen from the knight, in fact, it appeared to be but a hollow suit of armor, this armor standing still before reaching down, picking up and placing it's helmet back on.

"Oh, fuck..!"

Reece was surprised, dashing back and running off, grabbing Bennett on her way as he woke up, being shocked by the situation as Reece tossed him forth, Bennett landing on his feet as he ran with her.

"The hell are we running for..!?"

Reece pointed backwards, as Bennett looked behind him as he ran, spears constantly sent towards them as the knight slowly followed them, causing Bennett to yell in shock, increasing his running speed.

The two eventually stopped within a gs station, catching their breathe as Bennett was suddenly met with a bonk to the head.

"Damn it, you dumbass! Now that thing's gonna be stalking us till' we die, and I didn't see no ring..!"

Bennett's head slung down, as he rubbed the top of it where Reece had hit him, looking back at her, his breathing returning to a normal pace before he spoke.

"I said it was a rumour, nothing guaranteed!"

This only pissed off Reece more, as she delivered continuous bonks to his head until he was down to the floor.

"Whatever, who else do you know of..!?"

Bennett looked through all his pockets, trying to find his notes, mumbling to himself though Reece put her hand over his mouth out of the blue, shushing him as she pointed outside to the crowd of faceless civilians walking towards the same direction, even some regular people spotted in the crowd.

This intrigued Reece, as she yanked Bennett up on his feet, walking outside as she joined into the crowd with him, trying to talk to some of the people.

"Hey, what's going on here..?"

Before she could get answers, the crowd became a bit too crowded as she was shifted around through everyone, seperated by both the people and Bennett, sighing as she just continued walking forth, trying to look ahead.

The crowd stopped at a large building, chattering of some of the normal people heard as a microphone feedback was heard, all the noise stopping as a woman, walked out upon the balcony of the building, raising a megaphone to her mouth as her taking a deep breath would be heard, before she spoke in monotone.
