The betrayal of a loving mother

Maria's POV:

Holy fuck what just happened i blurted [what happened mom?] i looked at him still processing what happened and just was silent i had no words to say all i was thinking about was (what about my dreams my perfect life where i would get married live a happy life all those years of studying taking care of a child that got abandoned by his father leaving me alone i got pregnant at 18 and he just disappeared why the F##K is this happening to me just when life was looking up everything was starting to align Alex is almost old enough to take care of himself i was seeing someone lately but of course something like this would happen i was thinking of putting this brat for adoption why did i get attached to him)

Alex's POV:

i looked at my mom who had a crazed look on her face like it was like someone who tought he was entitled to something and lost it all the whole ride was in silence except the few people we saw on the road walking or trying to hitchhike to the airport finnally after driving for more than a full day and a half with 30mins naps in between 2 or 3 hours we finally saw a military checkpoint what surprised me was the huge pile of dead bodies off to the side with alot of empty cars i looked at my mommy who had a suprised look on her face as she looked unsure of what was happening afew times we could see the military pull someone out of the cars and shoot them it was a scary sight to see but when it came our turn they took blood samples from us and used them in little hand sized machine and one of them said all clear go on and then we headed to the airport that was another 10min drive we drove past afew other checkpoints that did similar tests to us which looked like a security measure then we reached the airport on the we walked to the airport gates where there was a long line of people moving slowly in when it came our turn they did the same test as the last checkpoints and let us in unfortunately it looked like there was only afew planes left as people were panicking we heard an announcement there's only 50 seats left only people with a higher education such as doctor's engineers and scientists there was an uproar after that announcement people were screaming about how it was unfair the an average sized man was screaming (WHAT THE F##K IS THIS YOU EXPECT US TO JUST F##KING STAY HERE AND DIE) he tried to force himself through the soilders and all of a sudden Bang there were gasps cries and screams resounding in the airport another announcement came out of nowhere only those with the specified qualifications head to the front also children aren't allowed on the flights only citizens with higher forms of education.

Maria's POV:

i looked at Alex after hearing the announcement (what am i supposed to do people here are killing each other i littrealy saw what happened at the hospital and supermarket im not ready to die but what is this heavy weight on my chest did i really get this attached to this brat he ruined my life i had to take care of him and never had any fun past my teen years but he's still a child )

Alex wait here mommy forgot something in the car I'll be back.

Alex's POV:

as mom said those words i dont know why i felt like they were filled with sadness like something was weighting down on her i didn't know what this feeling was it felt like saying good bye forever from the sadness in here eyes i don't know why it just felt unatural for her to talk in that tone i waited and waited till eventually i heard a new announcement the seats have been filled last plane is leaving in 2 minutes every that didn't get on please go back to you homes and wait for further instructions on your radios at 6 am daily will be an announcement but most people stayed since most thier homes were far away would take them days to come back here i waited and waited it's already been a day i didn't move surely mom will come get me (what if something bad happened to mom) i waited and waited but no one came it was already dark outside after a while i heard screaming and BANGBANG a man screamed [THIER COMING] people went into panic the military took up positions and started firing at the zombie like monster's in the next second i heard a gut wrenching scream and then bam it was my first time seeing it a MUTATION it looked about 8 ft tall it was large in size with alot of fat around it and it was littered with holes and a second later after it bashed through the door it released the gas which affected most of the military they all went to sleep the scene that just happened after that made everyone freeze it sat down near the soilders and started tearing thier limbs slowly and munching on them like they were snacks .
