Chapter 15 - The Fall

Gargantuan Serpent struck as hard and fast as a bolt of lightning, striking Emir's body with a shock and pain unlike any other. A moment later, the lightning-barrier he had just created surrounded his body like a cocoon. The venomous bite had no effect on him.

Emir tried to fend the Hellish Demon Spider's thread off with his left arm, but the venomous thread was faster than Emir's cast. The moment the thread thrust Emir's left arm, he felt hot, burning pain as his arm was pierced by the thread. "This is impossible!" Emir cried out. "How could the Hellish Demon Spider be so strong?"

Emir retreated to a safer place and hid behind a tree. The Hellish Demon Spider, however, continued to shoot its thread at Emir, who was still holding his left arm. The thread opened an ugly wound in Emir's left arm.

The moment the Demon Spider's thread touched Emir's arm, Emir became dizzy and disoriented. The Hellish Spider then started shooting more threads to surround Emir. Emir was trying to run, but the threads were too thick. Emir felt like he was being trapped in a wooden cage. Suddenly, Gargantuan Serpent's wide mouth opened to swallow Emir. The Serpent then launched Emir towards its insides. Emir could feel the sharp objects of the Serpent's teeth eating into his body. The Hellish Demon Spider's threads continued to kill Emir.

Emir: "Damn it!"

He quickly raises both of his arms above his head to cast a magic shield on himself but the Hellish Demon Spider darts towards him with great speed.

As Gargantuan Serpent bites Emir and drags him into its mouth, Hellish Demon Spider attacks Emir's right arm again and wraps the thread around his neck. Both threads are now pulling Emir down as he struggles against them in vain.

Emir: "I'm going to die...!"

Gargantuan Serpent swallows Emir along with Gargantuan Spider. Both Emir and Hellish Demon Spider disappear into Gargantuan Serpent's large maw.

The surrounding echoes with Emir scream in pain as the Gargantuan Serpent swallows him whole. Suddenly, a bright light flashes; something inside Gargantuan Serpent snaps open. Gargantuan Serpent realizes that there is an empty space within its chest cavity where Emir once resided.

Knowing something is happening to its body, The Gargantuan Serpent lets out another howl of frustration while its eyes glow redder than ever before.

A giant hole appears on the side of Gargantuan Serpent's body, revealing Emir falling from deep inside its stomach. With incredible effort, Emir manages to pull himself up to safety. He looks back at Gargantuan Serpent. It is still standing there motionlessly, shaking its head slowly from side to side.

With some effort, Emir pulls Gargantuan Serpent's tail upwards, making the Gargantuan Serpent's mouth wide open. Gargantuan Serpent's gaping jaw is where Emir easily fits through and squeezes himself inside. Inside The Gargantuan Serpent body, Emir cast a powerful level 9 thunderbolt boost by the pentagram Emir created in the sky and destroyed The Gargantuan Serpent inside out.

At the time The Gargantuan Serpent exploded, Hellish Demon Spider flew out. It grabs a nearby wounded orc and devours it to recover itself from the explosion injury.

It is now free!

"Time for revenge! I'll kill you all!!"

Hellish Demon Spider howls to its own echo as it runs towards the rest of the orcs.

Emir: "What... just happened?"

As Emir is still standing in front of Gargantuan Serpent remains.

It is obvious that Emir has survived the ordeal. Emir is looking at the ground with intense anger and hatred. He can see blood covering the ground.

Hellish Demon Spider has killed many orcs in this area, but not even a single one of them gave him a chance to fight back. Now, after witnessing Gargantuan Serpent's defeat, the orcs are certainly going to attack Emir no matter what he does.

Emir has no choice but to continue the fight and attack Hellish Demon Spider. His only hope now is to keep the orcs away from him until the spell wears off.

Emir: "Whoa..."

Emir sees the orcs running towards him with great speed. They surround Emir and start to pelt him with rocks. The orcs are still protecting Hellish Demon Spider even after Hellish Demon Spider devours their kind.

Emir has been surrounded by so many orcs. The lightning pentagram in the sky seems to run out and start to disappear.

The lightning pentagram is now starting to fade away.

Emir: "Oh no."

Emir knows that he has no chance to escape anymore.

Emir: "No...!"

Emir has to fight on until the spell wears off. Emir lost lots of energy in this battle meanwhile Hellish Demon Spider is getting stronger after devouring the orcs. The situation is worsened when Emir is surrounded by the orcs. Hellish Demon Spider takes this chance to attack Emir with a fatal blow.

Hellish Demon Spider attacks Emir with its webbing and then stabs him with its venomous fangs. At the time, Emir was already exhausted and could not defend himself.

Emir falls down onto the ground. As Emir lies there helplessly, a sharp pain suddenly erupts from his chest.

Emir: "Ah!"

Emir feels that something has broken inside his heart. He clutches his chest with both hands desperately trying to stop the excruciating pain. Emir lost lots of blood and his vision got blurry. Emir is too weak to fight back.

As Emir can hardly stand up, Hellish Demon Spider attacks him again and again.

Hellish Demon Spider cut all Emir four limbs and initiated its final blow to end Emir life.

Emir: "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Emir screams in agony as the demon spider's poison breaks down his body.

In less than a minute, Emir's last breath escapes his lips and he dies on the battlefield.

The battlefield seems silenced with Emir's death. No one says anything. All of the orcs have run away. The only thing left is the sound of dying echoes.

Emir's corpse is lying on the ground while the remaining orcs continue to breach the academy walls.

The Hellish Demon Spider continues to destroy the academy gate. Soon enough, it is going to break through the wall.

They become ferociously and destroy anything crossing their path.

Emir's corpse lies there lifeless while the Rankers become demoralized with Emir's death. The West Gate is about to fall. The Rankers retreat back inside the gate. Each and everyone in tears as they lose the only Level 9 Battlemage.
