Once upon a time, a very, very, very long time ago, a Prince, the most popular, most handsome and wealthiest was betrothed to the current-day Lilith. She used to be a common maid, a nobody, who had found favour in the eyes of the Prince and love from the Prince charming. Her name used to be Lilian, the whore whom the Prince abandoned for another while being a few weeks pregnant for her dearest Prince charming. She was ready for vendetta and vengeance; she was ready to bring down the Prince and his new wife, the unreasonable woman, who snatched away her first love from her and their unborn child. She became so thirsty for blood that she became the first vamp that ever lived and that is still living. She was prepared to kill, but she decided to wait so that she would show her child how to deal with men by locking her daughter away from the sight of men for centuries until her daughter betrayed her and fell in love with a man. "Why won't I know that I drank? Anyways, I woke up feeling dizzy and I reeked of liquor." The Prince said to Lilian.

She nodded and asked.

"Where were you yesterday?"

"I was at a friend's party." The Prince replied.

"Which of your friends?"

"You won't want to know her."

"Her? A maiden?" Lilian asked, glaring at the Prince.

"Yes." The Prince said and nodded at the same time.

"Who?" Lilian asked as she started walking end to end of the walls of the room, going to and fro.

"Trust me, you won't want to hear it." The Prince warned her again.

She quickly rushed towards the Prince, stood before the Prince and asked at the top of her voice,

"I asked before. Who?"

She was already mad at the Prince for the way he was reluctantly answering her question.

The Prince sighed before answering,

"Na...Nan..." He couldn't say it.

He knows the two maidens have never been on good terms.

He has started seeing Nancy secretly. She has used charms on him that whenever they are together, he no longer remembers the only woman in his heart, Lilian.

"Who is Nanan?" Lilian angrily.

The Prince sighed again, cleared his throat and said,

"Nancy."

"Nancy" Lilian repeated after the Prince as her eyes were wide open.

Cold ran down her spine the moment her name was mentioned.

Does she now have a rival?

"No, this can't be." She muttered, pulling her hair.

"I am sorry." The Prince said to her, trying to reach her but she stepped back and asked.

"What party were you celebrating with a girl like her?" Lilian asked as she rested her back on the wall opposite the Prince, glaring at him without blinking.

"A girl like her? What do you mean by a girl like her? She is just like you." The Prince said to her and sat on his bed.

"Abomination. May heaven forbid it that I am like her. Even the dead will not want to be like a devil-like herself." Lilian said.

"I know you don't like her but it was just a party." The Prince said.

"What party? Was it her birthday?" She asked.

He shook his head and replied with a shrug.

"I don't know."

"You don't know?" She paused to rewind. She breathed in and out slowly and calmly before continuing,

"Okay, what happened at the party?"

"We just went to the guest house at the sixth junction, we danced to the music that was being played by the performers, she brought in some liquor and we drank. Uhh…That is all I remember." The Prince explained.

"Anything else?" Lilian asked.

"I don't remember anything else but I remembered seeing you and now, just before you walked into my room." The Prince explained.

Lilian nodded and started walking out of the room but stopped when she reached the door, looking over her right shoulder, she said,

"Remember to think about what you have done and come up with a good plan or else....." She paused because she just remembered that she can't threaten the Prince because If she does, she would be the one to lose.

Lilian just walked out of the Prince's Chamber and walked into her room to grab some new clothes and headed straight into the stream.

When she got back, she had her brunch and headed to Ma Adele's residence.

When she arrived, all the other patients that were in the queue made way for her to stay on the frontline.

"Where is Ma Adele?" Lilian asked one of Ma Adele's assistants that were attending to the long queue of patients.

"She is in the healing room." The assistant replied to her.

"Thank you," Lilian said to the maid and headed for Ma Adele's healing room.

Ma Adele is a fairy who resides in the human world. She is the best healer under Heaven. She is rumoured to have been given healing powers by the Ruler of Heaven himself.

She also uses magic at times when one's illness is a challenging one. The main reason she learnt sorcery was to make herself the same height as humans.

Her worst nightmare was to get stepped on or killed by human ignorance.

No one knows what the Ma in her name stands for. Some say she is hundreds or thousands of years old while others say she has a daughter named Adele whom no one has ever seen before.

No one dares to ask her why. Who would want to, when everyone wants to continue living in peace?

Ma Adele and Lilian are quite the best of friends. Ma Adele treats Lilian for free, in return Lilian uses her influence as the human world crowned Prince's wife to bring her more patients and runs minor errands for her.

"Ma Adele," Lilian called out when she got to the door of the healing room.

"My future Queen?" Ma Adele called back from inside the room.

"What is the sex of the patience in there?" Lilian asked.

"Male." Ma Adele replied.

"Then I shall wait here till you are finished," Lilian said as she sat on the wooden chair that she found there.

Ma Adele laughed loudly and said to her friend,

"It's a child, you may come in."

"Don't joke with me. I am not prepared for your jokes today. I have come with something serious to discuss with you today." Lilian said at the top of her voice.

"Don't you trust me again?" Ma Adele asked and patiently waited for Lilian's response while treating her child patient.

"I trust you but sometimes you trick me into seeing other women's property. Do you want my head removed by those women one day?" Lilian asked as she stood up and walked closer to the door again.

"Trust me. My patient's wife has not yet been born. Who knows, he might be your son-in-law someday." Ma Adele said.

"Is he handsome?" Lilian asked and laughed loudly.

"Come in and see for yourself." Ma Adele said to her.

"I am coming in," Lilian warned before pushing the door open.

"Come. Come in, my dear friend." Ma Adele persuaded her again.
