Lifting of the Veil (BL)

When he woke up, he didn't know who he was, where he was, or even which year it was. All he knew was that he was somewhat impaired... There was just sand and he couldn't even see a few meters ahead. There were other survivors, and he even found a friend. Was this the apocalypse? And why is his clingy friend getting clingier as time goes by? Both MC and ML straight, mutual bending, shou perspective / dual perspective of MC and ML, they will probably be a reversible couple.., love interest falls in love first, there are explicit scenes planned. Have fun ^^ WARNING: LOTS OF SWEARING, BLOODY, GORE Cover is of "Global university entrance exam" (highly recommended), if I`m not allowed to use this please inform me! MC and ML should generally look like the two on the cover.

10. How old are you?

Note: hearing "true" from JAWNY on repeat while writing- maybe not as compatible with the story as evil Morty ^^

They continued on their way in a much more somber mood. Jack didn't remember if he ever saw a corpse, but he didn't feel disturbed- it was more the feeling of helplessness that bugged him.

Hunter was outwardly much calmer after seeing the corpse, after the initial shock because of the meaning behind their finding, he just had a slight tremor in his left hand. He gripped the axe tighter so as not to let Jack see. The arm they found was much more intact than the last corpse he saw, he reminded himself, ' didn't you rejoice about the apocalypse, don't be a coward after seeing a dead body, you saw worse'. He couldn't let that black history influence this new life. He tried the breathing technique he learned from the psychologist back then, and after a few minutes he felt steadier.

"By the way, what year do we have?" Jack asked.

"2024, you don't even remember the year?" Hunter welcomed the new topic and laughed lightly.

"That isn't possible... my ID says I was born 2017, that would make me like- seven years old?" Jack chuckled.

"What?" Hunter turned his head sharp, trying to gauge if Jack was lying or trying to make a joke.

"What 'what'? Why should I lie about this, here look." He took his wallet from the inner pocket of his jogging suit, and gave it over. Hunter studied the ID and it didn't seem like a fake ID, but he wasn't sure if he could even identify one. He mumbled "Even if it is fake, why make it this fake, what could you even do with this ID..."

"How old are you?" Jack abruptly asked.

"Seventeen." Hunter answered.

"No I mean, how old - really" Jack chuckled.

"Seventeen..." Hunter grabbed his beard and tried to remember, yes he was in school before the crash, no he wasn't this tall, and he hadn´t that much beard growth. No way... He suddenly had a splitting headache and grunted in pain. Jack stopped and crouched before him, "It's okay, it doesn't matter..." He combed his hand though Hunters hair to sooth him, and Hunter leaned in. So something was off about his memory. "Let's hurry back."

When they arrived at the askew door, only silence welcomed them. Jack half pulling and half lifting positioned the door to make enough room for the wheelchair, they went to the first floor, but nobody was there. Jack was getting a bit nervous, but luckily he heard a few voices when they came to the third floor. Hunter still didn't feel well, sitting with his arm propping up his head, he reminded the youth

"Hood."

"Oh yeah, right," Jack pulled the hood up and then knocked on the door "Anybody there? I came from downstairs and brought a friend."

The door opened and it was the guy who opened him the first day. He was much more shocked this time "You are alive?" then he noticed how the other man in the wheelchair gave him a sharp look and corrected himself "I´m sorry, you never came up so I thought... and Lilly said you didn't breathe anymore...when she went downstairs..."

"Can we come in?" Hunter interrupted and Jack pushed him in as the guy nodded. They came to a large living room, much larger than the one on the ground floor. There was even a fireplace so no pot on the ground. Jack hadn't gotten a good look at the others before, now he saw a woman with blond long hair, in her late twenties. She was standing up, looking as haggard as the door guy, but she had beautiful light blue eyes, which were wide open staring at himself. "You...you!" The door guy said "Lilly, maybe you didn't check his breathing correctly?"

"But I volunteered in a hospital before, I can tell if someone is dead..." she quivered.

"It doesn't matter, maybe he just appeared to be dead?" Hunter inserted, he didn't want them to be suspicious about Jack´s unique condition.

"And who are you?" Lily asked.

"This is Hunter, I found him at the hospital." Jack answered. Lilly looked at him, shocked "There is a hospital here?"

"Yeah, I can make you a map later, where are the others, can we talk?"
