Chapter 14 : Not alone

She didn't felt any emotion back then, but right now, seeing seeing this guy reacting like a madman and doing those crazy things, which are almost not human like....she started feeling the pain of losing love ones.

Why? why was she not with them when they were suffering from this disease? and when did it all started.

As she know then well, her parents are not the people to do drugs or consume anything that's lable as illegal. So most important concern right was...how did it all happened.

Jean at first did not understand what has really happened. But as he keep his mind on the words and repeat then several times in his head, he come to realise....

" What happened to your parents? are they okay? and what do you mean by you lost them? ", Jean asked.

Now that things were getting clear, he started to feel something deep down his heart.

" I don't know. I can't say anything just yet...I have to wait until this case gets solve. Let's first move on...".

Right now, Mael was quiet as he was beaten by them and not in his senses. But this situation can't go on. They immediately need to report this case to the secret organization of the government. Only they can handle a monster like him.

Adeline wasted no time and called the number she got from the forum earlier.

As the ring was getting to the other side, her heart was beating faster by every second.

Fortunately, someone picked up the called from the other side.

" Hello! who's this? ".

The one from the other side spoke in menacing tone.

" Hello! I called to report you about a case. He consumed those drugs and harmed a person. I am sending you the adress right now. Please come and collect him...".

Said Adeline.

She didn't reveal anything about her identity and only told the person.

After she said those words, the person on the other side became silent.

He did not say a single word for a quiet while and then spoke suddenly.

" Excuse me! can you tell us your identity? ".

The person asked her about her identity, obviously...he was trying to know her for sure.

" I am sorry! I can't tell you about my identity. The affected person is tied inside the house by me and there's this other one...who's killed by him. Come and get them yourself ".

After saying those words, she hang up the phone. And slammed the phone on the ground. Not only that...but she even crushed it with her own feet.

" What did you...", Jean was pretty traumatized by her action.

" Let's go! We have to leave ", She took his hand in her hand and then left the house...she left that phone there in the house.

" Why did you break that phone of yours? ", Jean asked as they come out of the house.

" I can't leave any evidence which might Identify my identity. So obviously...I had to crushed it ", She answered as she took him out from that area.

" But then...why did you left your phone there? ", Jean asked and she stopped on her track.

" You know this clearly. That phone don't have any data about me or anyone...it's just an old button type phone. So it doesn't matter if it's there or anywhere else, they will know nothing. And right now, we have other things to do...so please ".

Adeline hasany things to do aside from this case.

Since she was done with the case, she need to bring her sister out from the school.

They left the area.

" Jean, do me a favor ", She obviously told him the same some hours ago, but she still need to confirm this.

" Go ahead! ".

" It's 3 in the morning, please go to XX highschool and pick my younger sister from the school ".

After seeing Mael, she can't have her sister in the same school as those normal kids. It's too dangerous for her to stay with them.

Jean was still not understanding why she was in so much hurry.

" Can you tell me what's happening? youbare behaving this odd for some time now. I can understand and have come to believe what you said about the undead. But why are so fixed on getting your sister out of the school so hurriedly? I am not just your colleague, but your friend too. So please...trust me ".

Jean is more than a colleague, he is her friend, can't she jusy depend on him a little bit?

Adeline don't want to trust anyone with this matter but he is someone she can truly trust.

" It's like this, my parents are affected by this drug. This morning when Emelie went home, she got bite by mom in the process of getting away from them. I don't know if it's really true or not....but she is turning into zombie. And I...as her older sister, want to take her away from the other kids, she can't stay in the same space as them. Do you understand me now? can we go forward? ".

Adeline told him everything honestly.

" You will go to school to get her out from there. And I will go home, to take care of them ", Said Adeline.

And Jean was a bit shocked to hear it all.

" Wait! don't go. Don't go there alone. We just dealt with a psycho here, I can't let you deal with two at a time...that too, alone. Please, take me with you ", Jean told him.

He doesn't care about anything, but if she is to go into any dangerous place, he needs to go there with her.

" Don't be so stupid. It's beem more than twelve hours since the bite process, it's going to be soon that she will turn into one soon...if she stay here, she might or can...hurt other innocent. I am not just worried about others, but I am worried about her too ", She told him that how important this is.

" Alright! let's take your sister out from the school first then. And then we will deal with your parents. But we are not going anywhere alone...".
