Chapter 12 : Is this....?

The bone cracking sound surrounded the whole place. Once a dead person, it started walking from the deep slumber....as if Satan was waking up from the dead pool and looking for its prey.

It's Renee when she was alive, but an undead now that she has awakened. Not the same anymore, no feelings nor emotions, just an empty doll, with nothing but the thirst of blood and sense that resembles that of a dangerous animal looking for the prey.

Since she was dead already, there were no emotions or memories that remained, only the thirst....

She got up from the stretcher, her look was very scary...enough to kill anyone alone with that horrible face.

" Crack....".

Her body was making constant changes, not a human but someone stuck between life and death.

All it could see was black scenery everywhere and no living human beings around.

Surely, if anyone is to come into its way, it is going to devour him or her.

The world was strangely enough and slowly turning into an undead zone. Though it was just the beginning, it was crucial for the human race.

Adeline and Jean hurried up to the corresponding address of Mael, the lover of Renee. And right now, after half an hour, they were finally looking for Mael in his house.

" Are you sure we are at the right place? ", Jean asked.

Right now, they are standing in front of Mael's house and thinking about how to go inside.

" How come you are asking me this question where you are the one to bring me here? ", Adeline wants to punch him hard on the head for asking her such useless questions.

" Hehe! So it's me...I forgot it for a second ", He said with a mischievous smile on his face and then became serious once again.

After a moment, Adeline smashed her finger on the doorbell, trying to get Mael out of his house. They waited outside of the house for like a minute, but no one answered the door.

She rang the doorbell once again and this time...she even knocked on the door twice.

Strangely enough, no one was ready to open the door.

Jean and Adeline both glanced at each other for quite some time.

" Let's break in ", Adeline suggested and he nodded but there was still a doubt in his mind and he couldn't help but ask her.

" We don't have a search warrant, we are breaking inside the human's private space ".

" We don't need a search warrant to go inside, we have much bigger proof on him that he is a suspect and that's enough to capture him and put him into jail ", Adeline said and then started smashing her body on the door, even Jean started.

It's important for them to get Mael, the crime he has committed is pretty serious. Adeline took everything into consideration and on that base she was taking action. But there was seriously something she forgot to think about.

And this mistake of hers was going to turn bigger in time and maybe she would regret doing it.

After smashing many times, the door clicked open.

And just when they both step in, they fall into a terrified situation, his whole house...it reeks of blood and the stench is too strong, they even saw many stuff fallen on the ground.

What's most shocking, blood was everyone on the floor...

"Oof! I can't stand this...what's going on here? ", Jean couldn't handle this situation.

He has seen many terrific scenes before and he has gone to many crime scenes to do an investigation. But no place was as messy and terrific as this one.

Just what the hell is it?

" Shhh! ".

In this almost silent abyss, there was some noise coming from the house from somewhere.

" Heard it? Listen carefully.... something is going on ", Adeline asked him to shut up and be quiet. there is some noise coming from somewhere within that reach.

They both got alerted. There was a light wooden stick on the side, Adeline grabbed it and then handed it to him.

After preparing well, they both started growing and walking towards the place where the faint noise was coming from.

As they continue to follow the noise traces, soon...they become even more shocked when the more horrifying scenes appear before them.

" What the hell is this? ", Jean asked in an astonishing tone

On the floor, human flesh was dropped on the distance of everyone ten or twenty inches.

The blood had stained the whole floor and this sight was very horrifying to see.

" Is Mael Cannibal? And doing cannibalism right now ", Jean doesn't even want to think in that direction but when he sees the human flesh pieces on the ground, it's the only possibility he could think of.

That's what she could think of right now. If there is human flesh spread around, it only means that something is wrong with the person's mind.

But Adeline knows that it's not the same situation what Jean is thinking about right now.

It's not cannibalism, but it's something else and that too on the whole different level.

The difference is that they both look different but have the same behaviour and instinct.

They both started to grow even more closer to the chewing sound, it's really annoying...

" Adeline, this situation is pretty different....what if he attack us? ", Jean asked.

He is not afraid of being attack, because he had learned all the tactics in the training session. So even if the person weighing 100 kelograms is to appeared before her or to sneak attack on him, he can handle it.

However, wondering around in this house, it seems pretty strange and something that can send chills down the spines.

" Shut up! You will alert him...", Adeline doesn't know what to do with him as he was being so chatty right now.

And to some extent, it was annoying.

She has only heard about it on the phone when Emelie was talking about how scary her parents were looking when she approached them.

She didn't believe her at that time, but right now....she doesn't even want to think about it, because she believes in everything, but clarification is still needed here...

They walked closer and then saw a man,

He had his back on them and was chewing into something. Without even anything...she and he knows what going on at the front.

" Jean! Be careful...and don't get shock after you see it ".
