There's been a string of frequent complaints that I've always been getting regarding the behavior of mc _ that he's not good at controlling his emotions.
So I thought for all of them why not explain it here once and for all.
First thing, why do u even want to have him control emotions. We are humans after all, and that part of him is what makes him special in a way.
Second and main thing, if u had gone through what he has gone through. If u had seen, suffered, and done all that he has done _ you would have your head and emotions messed in a mumble too.

Most of u complainers give examples of how he's over sensitive about his past when it comes to his sister, or his ex, or basically anything of his earth life. So I'll give u a glimpse of sorts of what actually he's been through there to have all that trauma in his head.
He was a loner, an introvert. Who'd shy away and vomit at the sight of blood. Who'd never got into a fight _ never hurt a fly.
Then came a girl, he fell in love. Gathered his courage and proposed her as he literally fell head over heels over her.
They get together somehow and life was perfect. But then happiness ends.
His little sister, whom he doted on more than anyone else in family, dies _ accidently killed by a mistake of enemies_ he and his gf had made.
His family, relatives and friends all shun him. Their blames fuel the guilt he was already feeling inside. He leaves his family as he didn't want to have them dragged in more trouble _ and to give them someone to blame, so their anger towards him can help their pain.
Then to get his revenge, he became a killer.
He moved on _ to a different place. A life of just two lovers. A paradise for him. Happy life again.
But then his heart said I want more. He came back to fix the mistakes and relationship with his family, who only betrayed him, handing him to police and throwing him in prison.
While he was in prison, his only male best friend betrayed him. His only female friend died in his arms. Half of his family too.
Then when he's finally away from it all, hoping to go back to his paradise again with her. She gets kidnapped. To save her, he had to kill even more people _innocent and guilty both. Fight and kill his traitorous best friend too.
Guilt of all the bodies and blood haunting him for nightmares.
Then his gf also left him without saying anything. (Can u fucking believe that)
And all this happens in a span of 4-5 years.
After all this when he's left all alone again.... With his trauma and panic attacks _ he dies and gets isekaid..
...
...
So guys, now can u understand someone who's been through all that, seen and done all that _ can he be sane and simple in head. He's twisted. He's broken.
His new life is a new chance. He doesn't want to repeat all his mistakes or sadness again. He doesn't want to go through that loneliness again. So he gets extra sensitive at times when his past catchea up to him, or when something similar happens again.
But he's growing as the story goes. He learns to let go and move on slowly. His head heals, he himself heals.
It's not a story like every other isekai out there, where mc dies and next seconds forgets all about his past 30 years of experience and doesn't give a shit or even name drop about anyone he ever met or cared about on earth - it's not like that.
He's human. His soul is same. And he remembers it all. So that's why he's like that.
This is it for my explainstion about his emotions and past _ if even after all this u can't understand him, then I don't know what to say.
