Chapter 20

When Grandpa Jin takes Alan and Rose, Ed and Cynthia go closer to their little cousin wanting to entertain her. 

Daisy was happily hugging Azurill and the duo's movement took her attention. 

"Hello there Daisy, I am Cynthia your big sister" Cynthia introduced herself to Daisy. Daisy this time was not afraid and looked at Cynthia. 

"Hello again Daisy, you know me right? I'm Ed your big brother" Ed also greeted her cousin which this time he got a nod as a response. 

"Do you like Azurill?" Cynthia asked

"Azu- ill" Daisy asked Cynthia with a confused face. 

"Yes, it was the name of the pokemon you are hugging" Cynthia pointed at Azurill who was being tightly hugged by Daisy.

"Oh" Daisy looked at Azurill as the pokemon smiled at her. 

"Azu ill?" Daisy asked Azurill which the pokemon happily greeted back. 

"Azu~" 

Daisy then nuzzled Azurill on her face. 

With Azurill as a lead Ed and Cynthia got close to their new little cousin. 

"Well you're not the only cousin who had a black sheep huh" Cynthia teased Ed

"Hmph, I'm not that childish you know" Ed refutes his cousin. 

The two continued to entertain their cousin while Ralia was busy studying the medical notes from the system. 

Ding–~ 

Minutes later the doorbell rang, Ed went to the gate to see who was ringing the bell. 

The ones that rang the doorbell were Wallace, Steven, Winona, and Luvia. 

"Ed! Open the door!" Seeing Ed, Wallace immediately called Ed. 

Smack 

"Oww!" 

Luvia smacked her brother's head. 

"Why did you do that!" 

"Behave" Luvia glared at him which made him tone down his Energy.

"Come inside everyone" Ed invited everyone as he opened the gate. 

Leading his friends inside the house they saw Cynthia holding an egg and Daisy who was playing catch with Azurill. Ed introduced his cousins. 

"Right, everyone this is my cousins Cynthia and Daisy." 

"Ed, could we see Gyarados now?" 

"That I think it was impossible for now" Aunt Ralia said

"Because most Gyarados would thrash around during pregnancy and it could put all you kids in danger." 

"Really?" Wallace hearing this was downcasted 

"Everyone this is my aunt Ralia, she was Cynthia's mother" 

"Hello ma'am" The group greeted Ralia

"Aunt we will go to the garden to play" Ed said 

"Sure but be sure to keep safe okay" 

"Don't worry mom/aunt" Cynthia and Ed said at the same time. 

Ed led everyone to an open space in the ranch.

"Let's have a battle, my Beldum and Aron are already strong." Steven said 

"Let's have a battle then" Wallace proposed 

"Okay then I will be the referee" Luvia proposed. Then the two were ready for their rematch. This time Steven is using Beldum while Wallace is using Spheal.

'The hell! Diamond and Platinum! How did they increase their aptitude!' Ed was shocked when he saw the two aptitudes of his friends' pokemon. 

"Now are both of you ready?" Luvia said

"Battle Begin" 

"Beldum Iron head!" 

With Steven's command Beldum rushed towards Spheal. 

"Hmph, we've been training against big sister's pokemon so won't be defeated. Spheal Yawn!" 

Spheal yawned when Beldum was near him. But Beldum's attack still hitted the pokemon. 

"Spheal Rollout Attack" 

Spheal rolled its body as it rolled towards Beldum. 

"Beldum Take down!" Beldum met Spheal head on as they clashed. But Beldum's momentum lessened as it fell asleep. And Spheal continues with its roll out attack. 

Steven shouted for Beldum to wake up but it still couldn't wake up. Spheal already hitted Beldum thrice before Beldum could wake up. 

"Beldum take down!" 

"Spheal stop use Water gun" 

Beldum rushed towards Spheal while Spheal stopped and used a water gun attack. 

Beldum couldn't dodge the attack and was hit, stopping it from its track. Seconds later Beldum fell from its floating state. 

"Beldum is unable to battle! With this Wallace and Spheal won the match." 

"We won!" Wallace happily hugged Spheal as Mudkip came out of its pokeball to celebrate with them. 

Ed's two cousins saw the fight, Cynthia couldn't help but wanting to battle while Daisy didn't want to see Spheal being hurt and she was happy when Spheal won. 

"Sis, how about we battle?" 

"Huh?" Cynthia was confused as she didn't have any pokemon with her right now. 

"Raa" Ralts immediately volunteer himself to be Cynthia's battle partner. 

"..." Ed couldn't help but feel betrayed 

"I'll use Zera then" 

"Will you battle with me Zera?" 

"Pika" (⁠ب⁠_⁠ب⁠) 

"Pi-ka" Zeraora agreed.

"Are both of you ready? Battle begin" 

Pikachu(Zeraora)

Ability: Lightning Rod (Volt Absorb)

"Zera Quick Attack!" 

Zeraora on his Pikachu form dashed quickly towards Ralts with white energy on its back. When Zeraora almost hit Ralts Cynthia instructed Ralts to teleport dodging the attack. 

Ed smiled using his psychic energy he sensed where Ralts would come out. 

"Zera on your upper right Ralts would come out! Use Thunderbolt!" 

Zera was confused at first but still followed Ed's instructions. He saw Ralts coming out and he used a thunderbolt immediately. 

"Ralts protect!" 

But Zera's thunderbolt was nullified with a green shield. 

"!!" Ed and Zera were shocked. Ed was more shocked as he remembered Ralts didn't know Protect. 

Ralts

Type: Psychic/Fairy 

Level: 18

Gender: Male

Aptitude: Diamond I 

Ability: Telepathy 

Moves:

Status: Trick,Teleport, Protect

Attack: Shadow Sneak

SpAttack: Confusion, Disarming voice, Shadow Ball, Magical leaf

'Wha!' Ralts aptitude also increased! 

"Zera thundershock" 

"Ralts shadow ball" 

The two exchange moves but it cancelled each other out. 

"Quick Attack" 

"Teleport" 

Pikachu dashed towards Ralts again but the same as last time Ralts easily dodge with teleport.

"to your right, thunderbolt!" 

"protect!" 

Like earlier Ralts defended with protect. Seeing that attacking when Ralts show up will always be nullified he use status move for Zera. 

"Double Team and Agility" 

"Magical Leaf destroy all doubles" 

With agility Zera's speed increases. 

"Double Team then quick attack in all directions!" 

"Magical leaf!" 

Ed instructed Zera to use double team again but this time he combined it with a quick attack. Confusing Ralts and Cynthia but he forgot that Cynthia is different to the anime, manga and game because this time Cynthia could also sense pokemon's intent like sensing aura. 

"Ralts on you left shoot a Shadow Ball" 

"!!!" Ed was startled and Zera also didn't see the attack coming and was hit by the attack. Zera flew for a few meters. 

"Zera thunder wave!" 

Zera blasts as small light balls hurled towards Ralts. But Ralts block it with a magical leaf. 

"Shadow Sneak" 

Cynthia continued to instruct Ralts. Ralts entered its own shadow and showed up behind Zera using Zera's shadow. 

"Thunder punch!" Zera attacks Ralts with its lightning fist punching, almost hitting Ralts but Ralts block it with confusion.

After the exchange Ralts immediately uses Teleport to get away. 

"Zera thunderbolt!" Ed ordered Zera as Zera released his thunderbolt. 

"Ral Confusion!" Cynthia ordered and Ralts caught the thunderbolt. Cynthia want to instruct Ralts to return the thunderbolt but she felt Ed and Zera's intent to use the electricity to power up. 

"Ralts dispersed it to the ground" 

'Damn' Ed cursed as he saw Cynthia and Ralts' action. 

"Zera Quick Attack!" Zera immediately ran towards Ralts. 

"Ral Confusion!" 

Cynthia ordered Ralts again and with Ralts psychic power Zera was levitated from the ground. 

"Make it fall" Cynthia ordered and Ralts obeyed and used its Psychic energy to strengthen Zera's fall. Zera fell and couldn't do anything to stop its fall. 

Zera wanted to stand up but it lost its combat ability. 

"Pikachu is unable to battle, Ralts win with this Cynthia won the match." Luvai announced.

After their talk with Grandpa Jin, Alan and Rose met Ralia who was taking care of Violet. 

When they asked about Daisy, Ralia told them that Daisy followed her cousin and Ed's friend to the garden. 

"Right if you find them tell them to return for lunch" 

"Sure sis" Alan answered as he led Rose to the garden. 

Rose was amazed at how big the garden is and Alan told her that it was part of the ecological park his uncle Yun and Aunt Talya built for their day care. Rose could also feel the strong aura of Champion rank pokemons. 

She finally remembered the things Alan talked about his family but she disregarded it as Alan flaunting but now she couldn't help but believe it. 

Alan told her that his family were mostly water type trainers but they adapt to other types such as dragon types. 

She remembered that Alan told her that in terms of combat ability he was just average in his family. His sister Ralia that she met just now was a Champion rank trainer and the same for his cousin Sonia and Andre from his uncle Yun's side. Keron, the first son of his uncle Sean, was a peak Elite trainer. 

As they reached their destination, they saw the battle between Ed and Cynthia. Rose was amazed because she heard from Alan that this two nephew and niece of his were not trainer yet. Seeing the talent of the two kids she couldn't help but compare herself when she was young. 

Being the only child of her family it was her duty to be the gym leader. She was trained to be a perfect gym leader even though she didn't like pokemon battles. 

When she saw two of her daughters' cousins battle like they've been battling for many years. She couldn't help but be confused on how Alan's nephew could sense where a pokemon using teleport would show up or his niece who calmly predicted every move. 

"They're really monsters" Rose heard her partner's murmur. 

"Alan?" 

"They are really the child of those two, Ralia and Sonia, even though Ralia and Sonia didn't have special ability they could battle with their pokemon flawlessly." 

Hearing what Alan said, even though she didn't like battling she battled all the time and she was also up to the challenge to hone her skills to be a good gym leader. 

So she wants to know the strength of the two Alan talking about. She couldn't help but wonder how strong Alan's family was because she knew how strong Alan is.

"Are you okay Zera?" 

Ed went close to Zera and asked Zera who looked at him. 

"Don't worry about it Zera, Ralts have more experience after all and our intent and action would always be seen by sis Cynthia." 

"Pika" Zera sat and nodded to Ed's words. But he couldn't help but feel devastated as most of his power and ability were sealed. He looked at Ralts and thought. 

'If I show you my true form you won't be able to beat me' 

Ralts looked at Zera and nodded. Zera was confused but Ed patted his head. 

"Don't worry we will find a way to unseal you" 

Ed's words shocked Zera because nobody knew that he was sealed on this present body. 

"Pika pipikaka?" 

"How do I know? Well when we first met I knew you were a Zeraora and was sealed as a Pikachu" Ed said as he didn't tell Zera more as he couldn't think of a lie. 

"Ralts also know" Ed added

"Piiikaa" Zera stare shift between Ralts and Ed. 

'The two was really mysterious' 

After the battle between Ed and Cynthia. Daisy, their little cousin, walks to them. 

Ed, seeing this, remembered his nieces in the past. Even though he didn't have a close relationship with his family, he was close to his nephews and nieces. 

Also he couldn't help but be amazed in this world as he remembered that Azurill had a weight of one kilo but a one year old kid could carry the pokemon without being tired. 

"Brother Sister, why do you have to battle with the cuties?" 

"To become strong" Cynthia gave a fast answer. 

Ed couldn't help but look at his beautiful cousin and sigh. 

Cynthia went to Steven who was holding Gibble's egg and took the egg from Steven. 

"You're so strong" Steven said as he admired Cynthia's way of commanding her pokemon. Cynthia nodded as she dreamt to become more stronger like her elders.
